Happy Thanksgiving fellow Canucks.
Did the turkey dinner thing with family yesterday. Doing it again tonight with the regulars at one of our local bars.
That should do us for turkey until at least Xmas.
The real reason for thanksgiving isn't turkey though. It's for giving thanks.
We all have a lot to be thankful for.

If government can print as many currency notes as they want then why am I charged with Tax???
First of all theyre not your friends, youre just a useful idiot in their system and they know youre not able to defend yourself against forced taxation. They simply tax you because they can, why would they voluntarily say no to trillions/ billions every year? Its a simple power dynamic, they have the bigger guns. Second of all, even if there was no taxation - prices for most goods will adjust to the disposable income of the population. Your piece of the pie would most likely stay at a similar level(cant afford more things), as there isnt magically more things being produced and more houses/ land in existence. Money distributes available resources. Also, inflation is considered a hidden tax, so even printing all government spending comes with a tax again. Third of all, look at historic occurences of hyperinflation in the last century. After this it was completely frowned upon for central banks to finance government spendings again. It never ends well to give a group of powerful idiots access to a printer. In a healthy monetary system people would be able to save money again and see their wealth rise over time, i dont think we would have these conversations if people could afford better living standards again and become more independent from dumbass policies and government handouts. The right question would be, why are we allowing these idiots to print as much as they want again?

The right question would be, why are we allowing these idiots to print as much as they want again? Well taxes fees tolls tariffs been around a long long time. At least as far back as Rome in Christ's time. What's the Line "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's" source wiki and they used Matthew 22:21 Governments and printing paper are not the issue. The lack of space and privacy mean Governments can use fear to tax and manipulate us. If someone figures out how to setup an endless multiverse filled resources but no people I wonder how well governments would do. Just step into that multiverse and tell this place fuck off. BTC can't quite do it but BTC with Doge as its number 1 minion could do the trick (JJG this one is for you)

If government can print as many currency notes as they want then why am I charged with Tax???
I forget where I grabbed this image but it was probably here at BCT. It's an age-old question. Hm. My first thought was "that's dumb" but then I thought about it.... If all taxes were abolished then public works would still need to exist. If the government had the power to print unlimited money to fund these things then.... well money would be printed, the money supply would inflate, and people's earnings and savings would be reduced by the inflation amount per year. In a sense, it would be just as much a "tax" on people as... well taxes. Hm. There would probably be different winners and losers. But the logic may hold. Unfortunately what we're getting now is unfund4ed govt spending which is being funded now by inflation. In years where inflation was low, it was funded by basically slavery (wages didn't go anywhere, people couldn't get ahead, etc). By trying to crush the job market and return unemployment to the level where workers are once again slaves (well, serfs. Never own an asset when you can rent it) the Fed is just doing taxes with extra steps.... (I pop in from time to time)
