UptoBTCer + MoonvemBTCer + BTCullcemBTCer = $200K

This will continue to happen with BTCitcoin.

it could be an allegory (blue jays=main parties; woodpecker=bitcoin)  Grin
I am surprised how "dumb" is the market's behavior...everybody read that October is the "Uptober', and, like a clockwork, up we go...no complains about the appreciation, though.

Endless renovation is happening in the house. So far, I avoided selling btc to finance it.

Perhaps, buying a new house is a better approach, in the final analysis, as everything would be brand new and no repairs would be needed.
That said, I keep reading about the shoddy builders that required hundreds of thou "after-works"..

We are smacking up against resistance at $118K, but it looks good that we continue to test it.  At some point it will break and then it is a straight shot to $120K which I imagine will create some momentum.  We could be back in price discovery territory a week from now.  I think the next major target being eyeballed is $140K.  I'll admit if we get there it will be extremely difficult for me to continue holding.  While $200K is my pipe dream number for this cycle, $140K would be difficult for me to resist shopping for a new view.

Imho, eventually, 1031 with bitcoin will be possible.
It is NOT in the law right now, of course.
Exchanging btc to RE without paying cap gains (like RE 1031 exchanges) would be ideal.

Not mentioned: maybe dump your ancient, near zero cost coins into a treasury security origination for fiat spot coin share cost basis without realizing any cap gains? Hell, clear whatever holding period and sell shares for writeoff losses when the price falls below in-kind issuance...so, tax-free++ dumping on retail for any whale entity so inclined. Use the proceeds to buy the coin back and spend the difference?

But also imagine losing your ass on heavily discounted shares notifwhen price and NAV go down...better off paying massive CG? Maybe, unless terms can be rejiggered to dilute security holders sufficiently

Hunch: almost all of these deals are destined to provide future discounted captive coin supply via acquisition for ie mstr

In-kind redemption is now a thing, at least for the "authorized participants". Is in-kind payment for newly issued shares also a thing? I seem to remember it would only be possible for the authorized participants on initial fund creation.

Hopefully you guys do not end up selling too much on the way up in case it goes up more without any major correction, which I mean it is likely good to prepare for a variety of scenarios.. but yeah, everyone choses their price-based shaving sensitivities... meaning how much they might end up  selling at each price point versus how much coin they are still hanging onto.

@OgNasty - It would clearly be bad mistake selling at $140k when 7X that amount ($1 million) is just six or 7 years away in 2031/2032 - unless of course you don't expect to still be around then.

You must be very young. It's not about still being around. Go through a pair of cycles, add 10 or so to your age, and you might begin to understand some grown up talk.
