i know for a long time on bitcointalk i was in signature projects (dubious) that paid 1/2 btc a month

alas if only i'd known such then

Indeed...  I would never have guessed that signature campaigns would become what they did or I probably should have stuck with being a campaign manager.  The couple campaigns I did run usually paid a total of around 2 BTC per week, but I do recall being in them before that and earning as much as 0.5 BTC per month.  Now I'm shocked to earn 0.01 BTC per month...  Had we only known...  There were plenty of years I didn't wear a signature.  Crazy to think that was probably life changing money left on the table.
When it comes to Bitcoin, most of us have moments we wish we knew better and taken different decisions/actions. Mine was investing in new projects that turned out to be shitcoins and losing money that still pain me till date. As a newbie in the system, I was conditioned to think that I could catch the next Bitcoin or Ethereum so I invested in a lot of new projects, unfortunately I lost miserably. It took me years to realized that I would have made much money saving those funds in Bitcoin. My only use for Bitcoin then was to pay for services across borders, something I couldn't do with fiat system because we had restriction on FX and PayPal so Bitcoin helped me for which I'm eternally grateful that I could use Bitcoin when every other thing failed me.

Unfortunately, I still regret not saving a good portion of those BTC which would have earned me a fortune by now and I try not to look at my wallets then to avoid the pains of seeing how much has passed through me in terms of Bitcoin yet I couldn't save a lot of them.

Just like they saying goes "it's better late than never"... that is my consolation.  Bitcoin will still go higher so I'm just collecting as much as I can to save up for years to come.

I usually don't listen much to Friedman but this interview about Drugs in WW2 was really interesting, I must say...

Maybe something big is brewing when one of the main casino's spot arb starts to get seriously outta wack like way back?

Interesting post, if more than a little unclear.
ELI5: How is the spot arb getting out of whack? Is someone doing something? What are they doing?

Quote
Paperization runs the risk of price discovering there are no bailouts: a covering willybot with current market dimensions could produce spectactular results

Could you elaborate on that?

I too am curious what is being referenced here.  Is a casino's arb getting out of wack as described?  How far off is the exchange rate?  Which casino?

Certainly it is being alluded to that a casino is offering it's clients paper Bitcoin in an effort to mask losses of some kind.  I'd be interested in researching this a bit more as we all know how the FTX situation ended for the market.  If we're starting to see obvious cases of entities using paper Bitcoin and not being able to cover client holdings, it is time to say goodbye to the market for a couple years.

Love that show… Dare I say it may be Sylvester Stallone’s greatest work (at least the best since Rocky). Hopefully season 3 can keep up. I wasn’t super impressed with the first episode.

I hate to say it, but I took profits on the FBTC I was holding in my Roth IRA. It has been a hell of a ride since the ETF launch. I nearly tripled my money. I still own some MSTR in my regular brokerage account that will be sold in mid-December. Crossing my fingers for one last leg up this year before denting my stack.

I watched season 1 and season 2 on my watchlist for a while and now this one also goes into the watchlist. I usually binge watch the entire series over the weekend and if it's a big one then I might need 2 or 3, probably. This one also comes with 10 episodes so 2 week is enough.
