I'm only perceived as a bear due to the contrast that appears between me and uberturbobulls like rpetelia.

Actually you are perceived as a bear because all your posts are negative or bearish.
You only perceive the posts as negative or bearish because of how they integrate into your belief structures of the way btc is supposed to trade. However, if any non-btc-iniated rational investor was to hear my projections, they might actual find them to be incredibly bullish. For example  [we're only on a 500% growth per year trend rather than a 1000% growth per year trend] and [if the sky falls we might see as much as a 40% drop but it'll have a sharp rebound and break $1000 in 2015]

Its hilarious that our resident bear has a thumbnail showing a rocketship passing the moon!

Not that tera needs the white knighting, but he's in no meaningful sense a bear, unless you didn't trust the charts since December, in which case you're either sitting on a big loss now, or at the very least, missed out on a lot of potential profits.

I'm only perceived as a bear due to the contrast that appears between me and uberturbobulls like rpetelia.

I only switched to bull in 2014-2-25 when btc hit $400 and bought back all my shorts from $675-$1000+ at an average price of $448. Last time I checked, we are not any lower now so I have lost nothing.

Before that I was a bear for 3 months. So now I have been a bull for almost as long.

Perhaps I am just perceived as uberturboanything because I am passionate about what I am doing, either a bull or a bear.

That's fine.

Are there chinese actually holding bitcoins and not just speculating and trading?
I have no idea and you would be better off asking Chinese members of the forum.
I got some useful responses there by posting the question in English WITH the Google Translate version in Chinese.

To improve the chances of being understood, keep the syntax simple (split into simple subject-verb-object sentences with full stops, use plain words, avoid subordination if you can) and translate the result back to English as a check.

Maybe. Trading using other people's emotion is a different matter Smiley
And the mood around here definitely does seem to have changed in the last week. The expectation of a last crash to ~350 seems to have all but evaporated in most quarters.

I had read somewhere that bitcoin had been essentially banned in India (as in Russia).  Is that true?
