credit to TERA for this nearly famous chart. This will only happen if bitcoin will get the legal framework and institutional funding like everyone hopes. I give it a 50/50 chance, meaning that I find the outcome unpredictable, when considering the available public information. I'll just wait for any new information, that would start to lean the chance to either direction. And as a skeptic of bitcoin's long-term success, I prefer not to hold bitcoin while I wait. I have faith in the idea of bitcoin, I even have some faith in the technology of bitcoin, but I have very little faith in the unit value of bitcoin..

Is it just me or is the buy wall growing bigger each day right now? And the number of bitcoin days destroyed is dropping, the bad news has passed, lots of good news everyday and they're running the annual BTC conference in Amsterdam right now. Look at this for example: http://www.coindesk.com/overstock-ceo-delivers-historically-charged-keynote-bitcoin-2014/Staying true to his style, during the question and answer round today Byrne revealed that he had plans for potentially listing his company on “a block chain kind of a stock exchange.”
Watching his words, he said: “I would already be interested in issuing a bond or something, so we could be the first to list this sort of security.”
He revealed that Overstock was in the early stages of looking at the legal propriety of dual listing on NASDAQ and another stock exchange. While they have not ironed out any concrete plans, he said:
This will probably be on the Mastercoin protocol, or maybe but less likely on the counterparty protocol. Anyway we are seeing the future of money coming true here guys. It's amazing!

that cost pre transaction is babylon it assumes everyone is mining with equipment 6-12 months out of date .
Is it? What factor should one apply to those number to get the real cost? I don't get the point of the discussion. It has always been obvious to me that the cost per transaction adds the fees and the inflation at current USD value of bitcoins. I have just tested it and I get coherent numbers between the different charts (tx per block, fees per day, value of bitcoin), I might download the .csv's if I really thought I could be wrong. Now, the "Network deficit", that's bollocks, maybe that's what Adams was thinking about.

It is interesting to observe the extremely diverse range of coexisting opinions on the price here. One group of posters will be absolutely confident that we are inevitably seeing $5000 by the summer, and the next group of posters will have lost all faith and not believe that it will even recover from this crash and hold value at all.

and these opinions seem to be perfectly balanced ATM, as indicated by the stagnant price
