It's already been one month since 275, and people have been scared shitless the whole time. It's no wonder a change in sentiment is beginning to kick in now.
The 100 USD per coin trolls have gone quiet.

Total sum of active swaps
22,742,445.63 USD
I want to see 30 mil, lets do it.
30 mil and double top at 420$, that would stage the set for a long squeeze. We'll have to wait about 2 - 3 weeks to test this.

The 100 USD per coin trolls have gone quiet. To be fair, the same thing happens with 1 000 000 USD per coin permabulls when we are heading down...i think that the true bitcoiners accept that it can go either way in short term and don't care about the short term price so much as others and they believe in BTC long term...

I've never even spent 1 BTC. Holding for the long term. I'd rather stand a chance at making some serious money with all of my coins in 10-15 years than sell at slight profits. If the bottom falls out of this bastard & I lose my entire investment then so be it.

If the bottom falls out of this bastard & I lose my entire investment then so be it. Wow. Impressive self control. I try to hold my coins with a tight fist but there have been times when I haven't had a choice but to sell one or two. Then I try to buy back later. It is times like right now though when I feel like it would be stupid to sell, don't have cash to buy and then I need a little more liquidity that it gets really hard though. All that said, taking advantage of the "peaks" over the next 10-15 years might be worth doing. Granted, these "peaks" are not easy to predict but having a plan to sell a small amount at intervals might allow more liquidity to purchase more on dips.

you might see $345 or $350 then boom the price drops to sub $300, after that you might see $299 or even $300 again in the future then boom again the price will drop to sub $250!
you have seen things like this many times so far

If you don't have enough liquid cash reserves or income that you are forced to sell a "coin or two" every now and then, you are doing it wrong.

I would have to agree with you. I was of the mindset to keep more cash in reserve but my husband figured Bitcoin had a better "return" than the crazy low interest rate the bank offers so we decided, albeit foolishly, to go ahead and keep our reserves in Bitcoin and pull from there when needed. Seemed a brilliant plan until we have had months of downward movement. On the upswings it is amazing though. The only comfort is that we never really had much cash on reserve until we began investing in BTC, so really, it isn't that big of a deal. It is just that our BTC value isn't the same as it was a year ago.
