So... you have to be on for a month just to get Jr Member? Annoying.
I think it's slightly more than a month seeing as you only get 14 activity per two weeks, but it doesn't really matter anyway. Does for signature promos and the like. Plus people respect you more, for some reason.

It doesn't really keep out the bad stuff like syphilis, it just helps keep sand from getting in the tip.

The way activity is calculated:The activity number is determined in this way: time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration activity = min(time * 14, posts)
Activity is updated every 30 minutes.
Oh... here is... i try to find out how activiti is calculated... and finaly i find it... thanks...

Probably a dumb question, however: what is "min" and is it Min * ((time*14)*posts)? I don't get it.

Min stands for minimum function. It takes two values and returns the lesser of them. For example, min(3, 5) returns 3 (since 3 < 5)

What limits? The time between posting? They go down the more activity you get.

Could someone please comment on my understanding of activity?
The way it's calculated:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration activity = min(time * 14, posts)
My current activity is 84 and I have 436 posts. This must mean I have been posting 7 two-week periods in total since my registration * 14 which equals 84. In order to become a full member (activity 120) I just have to post 1 reply every 2 weeks until I have been posting 9 two-week periods, as 9*14 equals 126 which is larger than 120?

Yes, it is so. Look at my activity right now... You might actually get the activity of 120 if your post count after 9 two-week periods was only that number (if that was your point, lol)

Over 15% of the annual household income in the US - extremely stiff. I considered donating until I saw what they consider a reasonable minimum donation. The VIP level they have set just proves neglect. If I donate $35,000 a half purple coin under my name isn't going to cut it - they better be curing cancer.

You need to realise that these prices were set back when BTC had a lot, lot less value than it does today. Now an argument could be made to change the requirements, but theymos has consistently opposed it as current VIPs and Donors feel that it isn't fair to them given that they had to contribute that amount of BTC. Hence the exorbitant price of these account ranks.

There's a chance different ranks might be created eventually, but that's unlikely.
