Anyone know what approx. masternode payouts will be?

If block time is approx 2.5 minutes at 1440 mins per day, that's about 576 blocks per day on average...

So... 576 x .45 (masternode's cut) = 259.2 blocks per day for masternodes...

So let's say we quickly get 1000 masternodes on the network, that'll be... 259.2 / 1000 = .2592 (~.25)

So that would mean a masternode payout approximate every 4 days or so, taking into account luck/law of averages? Only question is, how many Helium per block?

Let me know if I'm doing the math right...

4

Using these figures (assuming that the '4' from detectiveduck refers to the Helium rewarded per block), I make it a little over two and a half years to make back your investment if HLM is at the same price as you paid for each 1000 SPR.  Obviously this time to 100% return goes down as the price of HLM increases above your initial investment cost, so increases in value is really that is what you should be looking at if you are going to run a HLM masternode.

Return all depends on what you paid for your Spread too, though.  I bought very early on in the pre-notice, and even after the BIG price drop was still marginally ahead.

Granted, that was a gamble on a project that had almost no info at the time so could've easily gone either way, at this point the HLM I picked up is just a benefit of the hold.

I guess the moral of the story, is still, buy low, sell high(er).

Really good news... now patience is asked

And what next? why they are silent ? Why do you do snaptchota without having prepared HLM? where is wallet? where is the future?
SPR -80%
HLM No start

Not very professional developers

Not surprised...snapshot non sense was a nice excuse to lead to a what 60x pump on SPR. Snapshot completed...90%+ insta drop. Sure the guys behind this turd bought 1000 sats level and insta dumped once the snapshot was done.

Explains the 90%+ drop...that amount of coins dumping is big and the amount of shaved profits selling down to 1000 sats is huge.

At least this wont see the light of Bittrex...belongs on yobit.

Looks like you want to buy HLM cheaply once it start trading in Cryptopia that's why you are complaining and talking it down. You look an intelligent person, I don't blame you, I want to buy cheap HLM as well... So good luck.

Not taking down or complaining about it. Describing what I see, this reminds me of Zclassic and Zen snapshot.  I honestly won't be touching HLM or SPR for that matter. Not interested in MN coins anymore.

The ZCL/ZEN shot definitely had it's issues.  Yet both coins are still in development, ZEN especially, and after the hype ZCL pump, post-snapshot dump, and ZEN fluctuating to find it's baseline, it's been a rather stable market for both.  ZEN still has some serious potential, and ZCL won't vanish like some though, although I doubt it will ever develop much beyond an also ran ZEC code-fork (which is literally what it was meant to be).

That is, unless the ZCL folks make inroads against ZEC.

In this case SPR/HLM is a little different because the projects really aren't related much at all.  Spread was just a low-value low-cap coin that was available at the time to use for a snapshot for HLM (whatever contributing factors the devs had for making money on the switch aside), but the direction HLM is going is radically different than SPR.

Provided SPR has any real direction that is, my sense from holding and following it because of Helium was that it was a single dev project, and that dev was rather uninterested in really pushing the code development anyway.

@DBC - Spread actually does have a very cool idea and is now working on the multi-core wallet. I'm going to hold onto it because he very well make it a good deal. What he has actually already produced is pretty cool but during break-up it looks like he stopped. A few recent posts on the spreadcointalk channel shows he is pushing forward again. I think maybe he was waiting until the HLM snapshot finished. I give it a year and it will have some innovation. I still think its undervalued at where it is and there are others that still follow it. Of course never put all your eggs in 1 basket and I am SUPER excited about HLM and its huge utility potential.

AFAIK, that's not entirely true. @coins101 was a dev on the SPR project and that had a roadmap containing masternodes, but at some point, different opinions and personalities lead to a stalling. Based on his prior ideas and what he had done on the SPR code (and probably because he also owned some SPR), @coins decided to do an economic fork/airdrop.

I have no further knowledge, all I know can be found in the announcement posting back from March.

Yes, it has potential and can be a good idea.... But the problem with this is the same.... It was announced almost 2 years ago, and absolutely nothing happened... Many good idea are announced, but nothing is implemented.

Hlm will be 1$ soon
I value HLM at 20% of DASH when launch. Same as BCH to BTC.

Haha, dream on...

everything can be happend my friends,, this is crypto world
and i think with masternodes and servicenodes that will be implementated on this Helium, i believe in the future the Helium price can beat the dash price
but we need to be patient for that,,

regards

yeah i also think that helium will have at least a value of 50k satoshi but helium has the swap which mean free coins for many people that will dump, will be harder to have initial high value imho

I'm out of town in the woods for a week and missed out on the announcement. I should have kept them in a wallet but instead had them on Bittrex. I take it I'm just shit out of luck on my HLM. Is there any possible way that Bittrex will honor the fork?

Unlikely, but pester them with (polite) requests.

Sorry dude.  As stated earlier, it was clearly recommended multiple times that you should have your SPR in a wallet where you have the keys.  That doesn't mean Bittrex. Sad

When will the wallet be ready?

When will newbies start reading the posts here?

The answer is when it's ready.  Not a moment before.
