I went on Cryptopia the other day and saw the volume was pretty slow. Maybe I caught it at the wrong time, but does it pick up a lot when a coin is released? I hope to pick up enough at a decent price for a MN if folks panic or dump during the initial trading.

The volume on Cryptopia is growing all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if HLM is openly traded on Bittrex at launch as soon as Bittrex claims their HLM from SPR. You have to imagine Bittrex had million of SPR in their address at the time of the snapshot. So free money for them if people don't claim their HLM or Bittrex chooses not to reward them with it.

I don't think HLM is traded in Cryptopia as the market is disabled until the wallet is released. Or you mean the volume of SPR?
I case I missed something, does HLM trade anywhere?

There is 0 volume in all markets. It hasn't launched and you can't move or trade it yet.

I'm very curious to see the price of this one, see if i made a mistake selling my SpreadCoin Cheesy

My only mistake was not selling it soon enough after the fork lol

It was only down from $1 at that point.  Cry

Volume overall on the exchange was weak. I had trouble selling some other coins, which is why I wondered if that was normal for that exchange.

Hello Helium fans! Who has their Antminer D3s primed and ready for when we launch?

In the meantime - those of you who have not joined our Slack are welcome to do so. Plenty of discussion is always occurring on Slack and you can ask team members questions directly. We will answer any questions (that we can right now  Wink ) that you may have!

When can we anticipate the HLM to launch?

Seems like best we have right now is "soon". That was a number of days ago.

Hopefully it's going live any day now, fingers crossed. But who's to say for sure. Tongue

Viewing this project carefully it may be actual gold of crypto if deliver.

Despite the spammy post, I agree. Smiley

They did update on twitter only a few days ago, and seem to be hinting at an imminent launch. It's got me crazy excited for the project no doubt.

I'm reposting this from Slack:
=========================
3. Network launch -

Work is coming along very well on testing, mining and the development of the Helium wallet. There are a litany of potential issues that can come up during the launch of a network like ours so it is best practice not to handcuff ourselves to a date (aka deadline). Issues often arise out of the blue and we react to them accordingly. With that said, good progress is being made and at this point there is no reason to think we are going to have any issues opening up the network to the public in due course. The website, new ANN thread graphics and re-done whitepaper are almost ready as well.

I will fall back on what I have echoed before. Anyone can launch a blockchain in a few hours these days if they truly want to get one off the ground. To launch a network of value properly often takes Time, which requires patience. Patience will pay off in the end as we are in this for the long haul. Both @coins101 and myself are not motivated by money, we have been working professionally in established careers for some time now. For us both, Helium represents the opportunity to cement a legacy that will last well beyond our years.

I thank you all for keeping the banter going, the spirits high and the price predictions even higher! You are allowing us to focus on work behind the scenes and we really appreciate the maturity shown here :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello, what are the ways to get Helium? Am I too lazy and did not read the first page of the thread? Could someone explain the manners to me? This project looks interesting, can I still participate? Cheesy

It is pretty hard to believe anyone after examining the present situation there cerin a wrong purpose to comparison from the Ethereum VS Bitcoin.Bitcoin includes a strong position and called the father of other cryptocurrency.Though it's reasonable to state that the forex has been doing nicely continually.Indeed,Ethereum, Monero along with other crypto-currencies has also a great future however it wrong time for you to differ themself. Now just only predicted that Ethereum iltays the crypto forex which has the most possible that's why it could be easy to view t overtake Bitcoin in thefuture.i

The reason ETH will not overtake crypto like Bitcoin as far as value per coin is called scarcity.  There isn't any scarcity with ETH, and they have cooked in a healthy(or unhealthy) inflation rate into the coin production.  Unless they are just referring to a total market cap due the market being flooded with ETH then maybe, but if you are looking for a store of value you need coins that are capped in the total coins to be produced and in circulation.

In the ETH community they only think about volume and transactions and is very fiat like in the thought process.  So it is really back to core values and what aligns with your vision of what crypto means to you.
