I know VPS hosting is the easiest and most obvious way forward, but I'm curious and have the bandwidth to spare. If the Pi 3 is too short on memory (I suspect this is where this issue will probably lie) then what specs of VM would be required? Any thoughts?

Do you have a fixed IP at home? You will need this.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

It is helpful to check out the Heliumlabs community hub you can find under https://www.heliumlabs.org/ - the FAQ and a blog are linked there.

The interactions with the dev team has been awful for HLM for months (inclusive of the lead up to the snapshot/airdrop).

Every single update is "bear with us" or "its coming soon" and obviously, "we can't tell you the exact date, as it compromises security" etc etc.

It's getting tiring to think I have a lump of HLM and it's worth 0 on blockfolio LOL!

Yeah...at home and at my mining locations. Looking at 6x2 MNs (2 per location), Raspberry Pi approach is just to give me something new to try. It all gets a bit boring otherwise Smiley.

I just linked to it on the page before. People, please put at least some effort into reading instead of being so lazy.

It's coming, don't worry. I'd rather they build quality than speed personally.

Not sure how much "caution" is needed here, really. Seems like a great project with a great future, hence why I invested in Spreadcoin before the fork.

This coin is probably going to be "on sale" at launch. For those with the extra cash, definitely grab some while you can. Wink

Actually, I want to elaborate because I thought what I said a while ago was stupid. Every project should be looked at with caution, that's a given in crypto, and outside of it of course. What I mean is, with all the crappy projects out there, this one is one worth looking at IMO. Not that it shouldn't require caution either...

Excited to see there's movement, thrilling crypto times and Helium is along for the ride.

Good point for all we know Helium may do terrible, its been delayed, maybe there are major issues with code? Who knows at this point. All we know is someday this project could launch and maybe it will stand out from the sea of shitcoins or just become another statistic.

I hope for the former rather than the latter. Now lets launch this coin and get on with promotions.

I'll wait for the mainnet. Hopefully, this will be something that is revolutionary in the 2018 cryptospace.
I don't mind waiting for Q1 2018 as long as the product is well made.

Look at IOTA. When HLM is matured for analyzing big data, HLM potential is way higher than analysing data of IOT.
