What you mean by sentence "Marketing people" of the 3rd world countries do it.  Do you want to say scammers are only from 3rd World and cannot be from 1st World?  Are you mentally retarded or what?

I first thought I should report it to the Admin to request warn you or ban you first but rather I thought better talk first.  This was very much like RACISM.

Quote
Why are you actually against it ? can you elaborate ?

I have nothing against it. At the same time I have no idea can you use a registered trademark as a cryptocurrency abbreviation.
I know it's better to be safe than sorry with this kinda thing. But It's not my call anyway so it's really irrelevant what I think about it.

The onion is the symbol of the idea of tor network, so perhaps you're right that using it could be good but the graphic design must be fully original to Torcoin. Copying some brand and graphics is the most unprofessional thing you can do, really. "Marketing people" of the 3rd world countries do it. Torcoin in that boat, anyone?
Just saying what I've learned during my career of branding and marketing.

Your very first post and you're talking about getting someone else banned? There was absolutely nothing about his post that was racist. FACT: People from third world countries are hired to work at telemarketing call centers. What is racist about that? Are the owners and managers of said call centers also racists for hiring them?

Seems an very interesting concept. I do think however that the logo needs to be modified atleast a little bit.
I like the fact that you are developing an android wallet too, most of the coins do not  do that.
Would integrating a decentralized marketplace into the client that works with torcoin be possible on future?

Good to see the Signature campaign started and it is really good which gives both BTC and Tor Coin for posting quality posts. This will definitely help the value of Torcoin. We can already see the volume increase.
More Good things to be expected soon  Smiley

Thanks for the offer, but I have a new dev and he is working on the android app. However, I would love to discuss other projects with your friend.  I am ALWAYS in need of good devs.  In fact TorCoin could use a solid four or five more devs over the next year to really take things to the next level, so please have him contact me or send me his contact details. I will add him to Slack team

A decentralized marketplace is a good idea, and we may build that into TorCoin in the future.

>>> God. Aliens. Elvis Presley. Who cares? TorCoin is open-sourced and de-centralized; the creator is already irrelevant.

One sentance which can get lots of new fans or make lots of enemies. That's the way fitting well with this project Wink

I really like idea of promoting creation of new TOR nodes. This will really help to keep internet neutrality.

So will it be open source project or closed one? It's kind of important if you are joining project created by anonymous people, entity.
Matter of reliability will be here quite key question.

So is it opening door to increase importance of onion internet too?

Translations are currently not a primary objective since a redesign is about to happen.

Btw, price of TOR climbing up to almost 0.0007BTC!
6BTC in trade volume!

Why did TORcoin suffer such a sharp drop in price? It has went down a lot since it was once valued at more than .001 per TORcoin.

With only 6 bitcoin 24 hour volume it is very easy to manipulate the price of an altcoin. It would only take you a couple of hundred or mayby even a thousand dollars to crash or even pump the price. So it depends on the community, break or make this coin.

We actually had this guy called Carsen which was in charge of programming, making and maintaining the coin

He was stacked with 200 000 Torcoin for his work, it turned out he started dumping the coin at each spike!
On TheTorcoins (creator of Torcoin) initiative he agreed to forfeit 100 000 TOR to the OP.
However he was still left with 30 000 Torcoin, which I believe was dumped and the prices crashed.
You can see there are not many TORs circulating, so it's evident what a 30k dump would do to the prices.

Prety pathetic that the dev Carsen dumped the coins on the spike and crashed the natural growth of the coin. I wouldn't expect that the dev would damage his own work. It will take sometime to recover. I have looked at the concept of TorCoin and it really got my attention. Mayby I will do a small investment or baghold the ones I get from the sig campaign.

I'v read through all the 50 pages of the thread.
Only mistake made with this coin was hiring Carsen to develop it.
Turns out he has done it with some of his previous coins too.

Nevertheless, we have gotten through his dumps, and now there's nothing standing in our way Smiley

Anyone know how to mine torcoins correctly? I have SPH-sgminer and have made a batch file for mining pools, but whenever I try and run it, it just starts and stops the command prompt immediately. I'm using a windows laptop if that helps.
