Just to be clear, TorCoin isn't going anywhere. The coin is very strong and is under active development. There are plenty of things we want to improve, not just the TOR integration. Ring signatures for example will eventually be implemented for additional anonymity.
The drop in price is not due to the FUD on this forum; in fact very, very few people from this forum actively invest significant amounts of money in crypto. According to my analytics, traffic from the forum accounts for only 3% of visitors to the TorCoin site.
The drop in price is due mostly to me paying out bounties and fees for development work, advertising, exchange listing fees, and such. Those people then sell their TOR, and you have more sellers than buyers for a short time, resulting in a small price drop. I'm not in the least worried about that, and neither should anyone else who has a longterm interest in the future of TorCoin.
It will not take much to bring the price right back up, and that's what I'm expecting for the coming week.
Exactly, when you pay bounties in the TOR coin, it is expected that people will sell it for btc for the very first week, making the price dip a little. But then this will not happen always as next time no one will sell for less and everyone will wait for price rise. TOR Campaigns are creating lots of trust amount the people and i am sure this will be a high success in the near future. People will not buy or hold TorCoin because the technical foundation for this ScamCoin isn't there. This is a fake product. A Newbie account fudding and claiming TORcoin to be a scam If it was a scam, it value will not been $1.00 by now. The good thing is that now its being further promoted in form of campaigns and bounty , making it more value.

Well.... I have to admit the Virustotal scans concern me. Though, I have ran this wallet and staked for weeks and not had a single issue with it. I wouldn't take the red trust seriously, you can read about the submissions. From my perspective, neither of them have sufficient claims to warrant red trust. While it is all suspicious, he hasn't stolen anything from anyone. As far as I'm concerned. Truth is, it could still be Carsen for all we know. Personally, I don't care. I am taking small risks with hopes of big gains, losses are expected.

I feel like I ran it and it had normal false-positives before. This is quite the development. Will have to clean my system, just in case.

I'm not saying scam, but that detection ratio is bad. No doubt about it. Post me something different. I'd be happy to see it. Not saying scam, I expected to make a fool out of the person posted so many infections, but I found a similar result. Totally not what I expected to find.

I am pretty sure that there is no coinsteal software in this TOR coin wallet. If you doubt their software than use an online exchanger address or don't use the coin at all. I saw someone else posting about this bad detection and he emailed them and asked if it had really a virus in it and the results were that the torcoin wallet was clean. So please calm down and just do what u think is right.

you are an idiot. This is the only coin I have cried scam. In the past 1 month I have been mainly following 2 threads. This one, and XBY. Check my posts over there. XBY is legit and never have I cried scam or something (despite it's bad history) because the new devs are legit & hard-working.

There have been a lot of false positives regarding the wallet. As you can see below, it is now registered as safe by BitDefender, which is a large free antivirus program. I'm fairly certain that to get approved via BitDefender takes a bit of research and code breakdown on their part. hey folks, I think one of the issues keeping the price under $5 right now is that the TorCoin website is blocked by certain browsers and software, such as bitdefender. This is because BitDefender scans the site for downloadable files and flags the TorCoin windows wallet as a virus. Clearly it is a false positive (or we would have hundreds of people screaming, obviously), but it results in some blockage of the TorCoin site, which is problematic. Does anyone know how to fix this? I am thinking to host the downloadable files on some other site, perhaps. Awaiting suggestions. PM me or email me ( torcoin@protonmail.com) for a bounty on this fix TorCoin.org is BitDefender clean now :-)

Use an exchange address if you are having second thought on the client. I have not downloaded the latest client and I am also having doubts if it will be safe but so far the old version I have doesn't have anything suspicious in it.

Due to the good marketing and active community of torcoin, i trusted it blindy, downloaded the wallet and had run it. If its really compromised, I can say all ky funds are compromised because I am not running any anti virus in my laptop. So if anyone can help me, (if there is really virus on that wallet), what anti virus is the best to remove it surely, or is it better to reformat my laptop?

I do believe that those are false positives, and there is nothing malicious on the wallet software. Reinstallation of Windows always works, with install of Avast Free antivirus on top of it. Your best bet would install some linux distribution instead of windows, or on dual boot and store all of your funds on the partition of the GNU/Linux distribution.
