yeah in theory you can do 4 1080 ti's pull 776 watts. I just have been sick and busy and did this lazy I have 2 three card builds they both have three cards. one psu is an evga 750 p2 it does a mobo and 2 cards pne psu is a rosewill tokamak 100 watts it does a mobo with 3 cards and 1 card from the other mobo using a riser. this is the mobo that has 2 msi plugged in note they do 649 and 642 h and they are 59c and 62 c one of them is one the tokamak psu this is the three card mobo all founders cards all three are on the rosewill psu with the meter at 776 watts note they all do about 619 sols

So you get 1857 + 642 = 2499 sols using 776 at the wall at worst
or 1857 + 649 = 2506 sols using 776 at the wall at best ?
Plus you say your other meter is at 750 watts same setup.

Yeah and 2499/776 watts at worst = 3.22 sols per watt at the wall
or 2506/ 750 = at best = 3.34 sols per watt at the wall
Now I am gentle on the psu it is a titanium rated for 1500 watts I am doing 776 watts this maxes efficiency.
I am gentle on the cards all are about 65-70% tdp settings

You should be able to do 6x 1080ti with a powerlimit of 180 at the wall (with most models this is a linux powerlimit of 200 ) using an evga 1300 g2. ( but you will need splitters or 2x 8pin pcie cables from another EVGA.) OC cc +150 mc +900 powerlimit 200 on all cards and a manual fan speed of at least 65% ( 75% or higher is probably better) should produce 4000+ sol/s and use 1150 watts at the wall.

here are the two mobos left to right three cards on each six card total 4 cards on one psu two cards on the other psu as a complete aside here is an aorus 1080 ti and a msi 1070 note slot 1 is open I plan to fit the single slot galax 1070 slim in slot 1 it should run easy and cool next to the msi 1070 look at width of that aorus far right.

I'm getting angry with my first GPU that I bought (it is a MSI 470), I have downloaded the Geth and it's take a lot to get synced but at the end it doesn't work, it gets corrupted or something like that. philipma1957 can you please guide me where to start, I have seen many threads and sources from google but I'm getting stucked and unable to start mining ethereum. Just point the miner at nicehash and auto convert to btc. Didn't do this but I bought an SSD and removed 1 RAM as I had 2x 8GB RAM and seems that now it get synchronized. I'm very very new to mining could you guide me something about automatization as it gets stucks and I need to restart both eth and the other bat file I'm getting 19MH/s with MSI 470 but I think it should be more, should I overclock/volt it?

Don't you fear the new AMD Vega chip ?

I have used the Nvidia for 20-25 days. I earned 1300 maybe 1400 I spent 377 in power for my entire house power. So I am about 1000 earned. I have 25 days of winter power. So I may earn 1000 more so that is 2000 in earnings I spent 6400 on all the Nvidia cards. I returned 1. For. 230 refund so the Nvidia cost 6170 Since I sold Amd cards that were roi'd . Counting the resale I made about 1100 on them so the cost of the Nvidia were about 5000 .. If I end up earning 2000 like I mention above the cards need to be worth 3000 on June 1. That would be a fifty percent drop. I think they will not price drop to that level. This is when early adoption makes sense. I will be on hold for expansion . At this time I have room for vega if they are good.

Search YouTube for a video on how to strap memory timings. This should get you to 23-24MH/s. You can further raise your memory click to 1950 MHz , drop your core clock to 1100 MHz, and under-volt your chip to 0.94-0.99v. This should get you to 26-27 MH/s or so.

I second the suggestion for strapping. Its incredibly easy to do if you just do it right and follow the steps and make backups. I brought 4 rx 480s from 24 Mh/s to 29.8 Mh/s each. Thats an extra 23.2 MH/s so basically a free card. They don't run any hotter or use more voltage than before strapping.

hey everyone... I know it's a bit off-topic but was wondering if anyone here is using the Ledger Nano-S hardware wallet to store ETH/BTC. I've got one coming tomorrow and was just wondering if there are any gotchas or things to look out for before moving some coins onto it.

move 0.2 coins in and out a few times to get a feel of using it. that way if it crashes you don't lose much. I have no idea if it is any good.

The existence of ETC is a major reason why ETH really can't go POS; not that I think it was likely in the first place.
This two statements are intriguing, especially connection between ETH not being able to go POS because of ETC staying POW. Could you elaborate? ETH going POS would be like Coke deciding they will no longer produce Coca-Cola Classic, but will only sell Coke zero. In the future you will get 100:1 chance to get Coke Zero when buying Classic! https://github.com/ethereum/research/wiki/Casper-Version-1-Implementation-Guide

I have a Ledger Wallet.... I love it. Recovery mechanism is nice; Easy to access via Chrome app. All spends are 2FA or more (depends on how you set it up). All done on-device. It's my cold storage, along with a paper self generated vanity second one.
