Got my very first nvidia card after buying all RX 470/480s for the past year, 33 in total.
Zotac GTX 1070 mini, $350 from newegg.com.

I'm getting around 437 sols mining zcash with EWBF 0.3.3b 90% power, +200 core, +550 mem.
Can I get more? Please share some tricks and tips!
Also, which coin is more profitable to mine lately? I see Phil and others say skein, I've also heard DGB?

the primary coin for NVIDIA, IMHO is ZEC

However, NVIDIA cards are also blessed to be powerful cards for many other other coins like Skein, LyraeREv2...

Nicehash and zpool are exciting places if you have a NVIDIA cards.

For your 1070, try +100/+900

at 437sols using a mere 1070, you are right there nose to nose with high end AMD R9 cards like Fury and Nanos.

if you try a 1080ti.... you zoom past 700sols and a bit

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

What miner and pool do you prefer for ZEC?

Do you have the exact link ?
as it is not on first page, it's hard to find it inside the 150+ pages when you don't know where to search first.

I'm not lazzy, I spent 15 minutes digging but all I find seems very complicated and I don't think this is the step by step you meant.

I don't know what is SSH but willing to learn.

starting from here may help

Make manual fan at 75%

I managed to get nothing Sad

1. create an SSH session
2. enter remote host = 192.168.... your rig's IP address
3. enter specify username = miner
4. ssh port is default, use that
5. press ok.... it will prompt you for password, enter "miner" --- this process only required once
6. summary .... userid/password is miner and miner
7. you should be in by now.... to see your mining console "screen -x miner"

great!

I love this mobaxterm, I fell in love with it since "carloshell" introduced it to me recently.

Now... all my VNC and SSH session are now centralized with mobaxterm, so I can manage all nvoc and smos rigs.

Do you believe I could run the same 3 card setup like with the Aero's or no?

3 1080 ti's riser free won't happen

I do all my 3 card  1080 ti's  with 2 on the board and one on a riser.

a riser free setup with 3 cards  2 msi aeros 1 short mini 1080 or 1070 on the board can be done  with the 1 card short at the end.

I would not try it in a case.

However  I am going to build a katana katana gigabyte in a case.

Here is an asus, katana, katana   in a case  a bit too hot

 (To Phil)

Try adding a Delta 38mm to the front of the case, fans that come with cases are usually seriously wimpy.

 (To Vosk)

I would also not try 3 x 1080 ti in a non-riser build, the only motherboards that will let them space out properly to cool are WAY too bloody expen$ive and uncommon (the old Gigabyte -UD7 motherboards would work but ALL of them have been out of production for years and Gigabyte doesn't seem to be doing them on current chipsets).
As a nearly-universal rule boards with 3 x 16-bit PCI slots space the #2 and #3 slot too close together to let the #2 card cool if you have another full-length card in the #3 slot - which is why I love the Gigabyte "ITX" 1070 card (MSI makes a 1070 that size now too) - they leave 1 fan totally unobstructed, which has been enough to keep the middle card reasonably cool in my 3-card no-riser rigs when the small amount of airflow the other fans get is added in.

Some boards I've seen with 5 x 16bit slots OR MORE allow the right spacing - but BLOODY HECK you pay more for some of those motherboards ALONE than some of my 2+ card complete RIGS have cost me.

Backplates on non-riser mining rigs are a BAD THING - they obstruct airflow.
On riser rigs they don't matter, you just space the cards out more.

Do you have a picture of your 2x ti & mini build? I am trying to setup two rigs to mirror phil's 2x ti & 1 mini 3 card non-riser build

Hi Folks,

I would be very pleased,
if any "Boner" could ad his power-usage from wall,
otherwise it does not make very much sense.

WOW, that --pec option is pretty cool, thanks Phil!
I did what you said and now it's doing ~400 sol, around 100 watts, 3.5-3.8 s/w  Grin

How far should I go with memory and core? Right now they are both around 100. I guess only as high as not to ruin my s/w below 3.2 or so?

My little dual GTX-1060-6 RIG is running at 3.2 - 3.5 SOL (even saw 3.9) per Watts (~570 SOL) with equihash (look some pages back).
