Wanted to pick yalls brains.. what 1080ti are you liking the most and why...
I have gotten to play with 3 different ones and ill report them as follow.....

1) EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Gaming-This card seems to be the most stable out of the 3 when overclocked 250+ on core, allowing great hashrates at much lower TDP than the other 3, but fans are 2nd on noise level to maintain 69c.... CON- card is the most power hungry overall and the drop in hashrate per 1% TDP is the fastest, so seems to have the lowest range you can undervolt it before it becomes inefficient

2)MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Armor 11G OC-This card honestly sucks at 100%TDP, just horrible hashrates and heat levels... but when you undervolt this card and push the core this card is amazingly quiet and performs pretty awesome hashrates when optimized with average temperatures.... easily the most quietest card when fan speeds above 70% CON- This card seems to be hurting from temps the most or some sort of safety is set on this card more so than others.. for example i had my friends pc sitting with the side open with the temps stable at 69c at around 60% fan speed on auto.. as soon i turned on a box fan to blow on us while we played around with my other computer, the sheer cooling from the box fan immediately increased hashrates by 150-200Mh/s on skein... with reported temps of 69c...not sure where the thermal throttling is occuring or what not..

3)Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Gaming OC 11G-This card is kinda average at everything except power usage, this card has the lowest of the 3 in hashrates when tdp is lowered, but the drop off curve is the longest.. so you can push this card all the way to 50% tdp and the hashrate is way better than the top 2 cards at that level.. so i can see this card being a good card to use if you are having heat issues, because it can be reduced to 50% tdp and still manage decent hashrates and sit around 55c on air... but this card is the LOUDEST when you crank the fans up, actually kinda annoying tone to the sound..

I am getting good results with Gigabyte Aorus 1080ti - my first super rig is based on 5 x Auros 1080ti currently roaming multi-algos with Windows NH miner.

My only worry about this card is huge and expensive. Its 2x8pin requirement is also a headache, i have now upgraded the PSU to dual 1200w server PSU, with pico and 10 x 2 = 20 PCIE connectors.

My second super rig is Zotac 1080ti AMP series, just as vicious like the Auros but clocked lower however price is also lower than the Auros. This will be also a 5 x GPU setup with dual server psu solution.

ZEC is almost 300 bucks now, and both of these super rigs will be ZEC mining fulltime at Nicehash soon.

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

Did anyone else have a terrible day mining skein today zpool? my numbers on my watercooled rig is not exactly making sense.... based on numbers from 23hrs ago to now, i seem to only pulled in like $12.53 today on zpool with my pair of MSI 1080ti's.....

I still have my 2nd pc on Yiimp mining away DGB... The numbers on it are making more sense...

Could someone explain to me the system they have listed on pools at the right side of the page...... trying to understand the numbers better...

if i run my numbers if i am understanding it..
0.00395x1800=7.11mBTC/day or $20.16USD?

yeh over the last 8 hours I got 15-20 less than usual over an 8 hour period.  Again I see the graph has stopped.  Its been showing nothing for hte last 2 hours.  And the other stats shows 1 miner no hash rate.  I restarted the batch file and it is now showing my hash rate.  Too early to see if the graph is starting again.  I will mine other 8 hours and see if it plays catch up.   But yer not impressed with zpool in the last 4 days.

Ok interestingly restarting the batch file made the graph start recording correctly again.

I was having that problem for over a week and got tired of it so switched to MPH mining DGB. About to switch to NH with the drop in DGB price drop though.

So what is the reason for moving to Zcash.  I find it a bit tricky to move with so little hashing power right now.  Are you shifting most of it becuase Zpool is having issues or what is the reasoN?

also I use less power with zec and  it will be getting hot.

Anyone know how to turn down the core voltage on a 1070?  Afterburner only allows a positive change, the slider does not go to the negative territory like it does for an AMD card.

Hey Phill,

How important is it to use identical 1080 ti for 1080 ti+1070 rig? I just cannot find same model as mine in good price at the moment.

Setting the power limit lower is effectively the same thing. I use 70% with a GTX 1080 and it drops the power usage ~25% compared to 100% TDP. Anything less than 60% losses too much hash.

I'm down to 60%, and the voltage is now down below 1.0V.  Thanks for the help.

Got tired of waiting and waiting for people to get picopsu back stock so found a source for them  Cool. They just arrived and will be hooking a couple up to test. Also sourced 8 pin cpu connectors and terminals so I can make cable for them direct from server psu. And placed an order for pcie powered risers without the sata cable (saved a few cents each) from new source as regular source was out. Am glad to finally be getting other sources set so when one is out another will have what I need.

It's not important. You can mix and match.

You can even mix AMD and Nvidia, if you can get the drivers to play nice. Usually not worth the effort

also I use less power with zec and  it will be getting hot.

But equihash is more core/memory intensive than ccminer algos.
I have to overclock memory to the max for ZEC mining. With ccminer I can downclock memory with no impact on hashrate.
So how come you are using less power with ZEC than with ccminer/zpool?

zpool has been having weird issues.  So I will give it a break.

Yep two 8 hour periods.  Both down 30% or more than what I usually get from zpool.

Switching over to Zec also.  I was mining directly to zec wallet using EWBF but want to mine it to the same BTC wallet I am using for my  skein mining.   Easiest way to do this is to use nicehash?   Do you mean the actual program?  Or is there a way to continue to use EWBF and just adjust the pool settings?

My current bat file.

"miner --server zec-us-west1.nanopool.org --user 19HD18H6LiKNEPt4paZ6B5RVkwV5Lw3vbp --pass z --port 6666"

What do I need to change to switch over to nicehash which converts directly to BTC.  (I have already changed my wallet to BTC).  Currently googling but not having much luck.

The way i mined nicehash previously before going to zpool was using the nicehash miner itself, just put your new BTC wallet in it

Yes I am currently doing that but sounded like Philma was doing it some other way.

Like you can maybe just use this? stratum+tcp://equihash.usa.nicehash.com:3357 or this     stratum+tcp://lbry.usa.nicehash.com:3356?  I am just not sure which one is for Zec.

Thanks so something like this is probably the way to use EWBF to mine zec and auto change it to BTC with nicehasH?

"miner --server equihash.usa.nicehash.com --user 19HD18H6LiKNEPt4paZ6B5RVkwV5Lw3vbp --pass z --port 3357"   Sorry I am new and is alot to get my head around.
