im sorry i mistakenly typed in the wrong number when i was typing up the above numbers... good catch..
I opened up my spreadsheet and the numbers were not even close to what i typed earlier.. i will correct it.. so you understand....

My current hashrate for skein is 12,503Mh/s across the 13 cards.. not 22503... my bad

So currently pool reports 0.00413, so 12,503x0.00413=0.05163739mBTC/day or $129.37, so $9.95/ea

When i installed Windows on the GO, it said it was installing Windows Enterprise edition and that 32GB was the minimal size USB drive needed, but the actual install size on the USB drive is only 22.1GB. I am going to leave this in my mining rig running for the next few days to make sure its stable running it this way.. i did notice a small drop in wattage running the usb drive over the mechanical hd also...

forget about 32 gig drives for windows.

my wife grabbed a win10 netbook a while back with a 32 gig ssd. ran ok for a while till the last win10 update. came up with an "out of space" error and would not update. wound up compressing the whole drive to get room.

and it has a sd card for most programs/data so the only thing on the ssd is windows and thunderbird. and i run ccleaner religiously. 32 gigs is just too small.

get a 64 gig drive for windows.

not to forget about 16gb virtual drive requirement for Claymore running multi GPU, a ultra fast 64gb will be minimum..... 64gb usb3 will be expensive to deploy VS a 120gb Kingston SSD or a simple 64gb SSD.

hmm, i didnt know this.. i have never used claymore.. so that is good info to know going forward...

Something i ordered on amazon today to test is to use a usb adapter with micro-sd card. I found people claiming just as fine of performance using the micro sd cards on windows to go... plus i have been wanting to upgrade my micro sd card in my cell phone.. so i ordered a 128gb micro sd card off amazon for $18

Can anyone help with a quick OS problem?
I've never seen this in my dozens of time trying to install a Windows OS, especially Win 7..

I made a bootable thumb drive from a an ISO that a reputable Key seller on ebay provided (one Phil recommednded) as I can't find my disk and I go to install and I get to s screen that says select a driver, typically where you select x86 or x64 and it says no device driver found? I tried mounting the iso a few more times and reformating the thumb, nothing..

Phil was kind enough to send me a Win 7 CD, I buy an external CD drive and I get the same error..
I even plug in another SSD that doesn't have an OS (other SSD had Server 2012 on it), and that doesn't work..
Can anyone help me as I have never seen this issue before..

Funny thing was.. when I was on Server 2012, that system booted up, I was only reformating it as I couldn't get the LAN drivers to work and needed internet..

what ccminer are you using to mine blake256r8 algo?

I mine blake2s with ccminer-x64 2.0

Storx it would be really helpful if when you made comments you could include some detail as you have made several comments and left out all the detail.

You claimed to make $17 per day on Skein and Blake.  Then corrected your skein.  But not your blake2s. So I can only assume those figures were wrong also.

I was able to guess you were mining blake2s not blake2b or something else??? I guessed maybe 2s??.  I got around 2700 Hash on CC miner doing Blake2s algo.  This was on a 1080 Ti Aorus and a handful of tweaking.  That came back as around $4.50 a day or less.  So yer I am not really sure whats going on in your screenshots.

Some updates for anyone else.   Skein is still the most profitable.

Here is what I make per day as of right now for one 1080 ti before power and fees.  All my cards are around 75-90 tpd because my power is cheap I can push my skien TPD slightly higher.  I have tweaked the clocks and cores.

Skein = $10.85  (alexisminer) 1000 Hash
Zec = $9.49   (EWBF 3.03b?) 720
Eth = $7.03   ( Claymore or Genoil) 37 (if claymore can mine a little sia for 370 so this bumps it up a little also)

Zec is looking really good right now.  And Skein has really dropped off lately but I have not seen it be less profitable than zec yet.

Anyone else mining any other algos or coins and have similar or better results?  If so please share Cheesy

I would recreate your bootable installer.  Get it from somewhere different to where you got it the first time.

I was getting that error - I would plug it into a different usb port reboot and it would read it, so I'm not sure what the issue was but it did happen to me on a handful of installs.

Numbers actually look like mines. I'm currently on a mine and hold pattern since all overhead is paid for  the month so not too worried about the USD$ amount converted to BTC currently since Skein will stay Skein, Zec will stay Zec and Eth/Eth.

had that issue with my MB when did a clean install (Gigabyte GA270P-D3) when trying to to install Windows 7 Ultimate x64 bit.....the ISO does not support USB 3.0 so it wouldn't be able to read somehow the USB correctly.

Had to go to Gigabyte's website and download a driver to install on the USB stick that let it run the install correctly.

Good luck!

Reading what the previous poster said this is def the issue.  Hopefully your motherboard has some non usb 3.0 ports.  Or you could use windows 10 instead.  Your windows 7 key will likely work for win10. I installed win10 yesterday on my win 7 key for two machines.

Damn you hit the nail on the head, the Mobo's I was having that issue with was the GA270P-D3's - it was the first 3 or 4 and now that I think about it it was the blue 3.0 port, and I remember each time replugging it into the black USB port which I'm guessing is 2.0!

I smarted up and now I just clone the finished drive. Went from 1 hour to get a rig up and running to 10 minutes. Made setting up my tiny militia much more tolerable, being I'm a solo op

If it's a fresh install where did you put the driver?

I am guessing vyper got lucky and had a 2.0 on his board and plugging it into that one worked..
Tried all my usb ports and no go.. err checked ASUS all usb are 3.0...

The usb dvd is 2.0 and so is the stick...
What is the work around for the Asus z270 AR?

Go to Asus website and download the drivers and put it on the same USB drive you have the Windows ISO, should work.  Google ASUS clean install with no 3.0 usb support, I am sure it will come up.

Meanwhile my contacts sent me this allegedly coming out to the market in 2 weeks...

Looks like this card has no video output !

I assume that this is the 1060 Mining Edition, NVIDIA has been talking about.

I like the idea of a mining edition GPU, but honestly i dont see it being worth it for us... because the price they quoted was only $20 less than the standard 1060 card and the mining cards only come with 3 month warranty on parts ONLY, labor and shipping not included.... then there was the info that you can only purchase them in quantities of 20 at a time for some reason... so you have to buy 20 and build 4 x 5 card rigs or have odd extra's....

there is a GTX 1080 "GP-104-100" 60Mhs ETH version of this mining card according to my sources but NVIDIA and their gang will release the "GP-106-100" GTX 1060 variant first.... without RX cards in sight..... and AMD will be focussing on their $1200 Vega's -- I think NVIDIA has once again put a dent on AMD's armor and will get into the cryptoworld big time.

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

I only had USB 3.0 on that motherboard.. I have a gigabyte board with usb 2.0 and I was getting the same issue.. it's just not my night.

I also tried the Asus ez installer and couldn't figure out how to get that to work.. I am giving up for the night as its late and I am tired..

I hate not having a mining rig up.. just losing money..

buy one of these

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0033Z2BAQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?

I thought you had one when you asked me for a dvd to install with

I would have shipped it in the same box.
I sent the dvd to you in.

I have three of them Angry
Just for this reason.
I should have asked , but you can get around it if you have another pc.  and download shit from asus.
I don't use asus mobo's much any more..  as they really suck to load win 7  and the work around is buy the sata dvd-rom player.

I still prefer win 7 to win 10  as win 10 is a bitch with defenders and constant updating.
