Well now it looks like the price of 100 million/season is becoming more and more commonplace for the star players who will compete in this middle east league.

Yeah, since PSG was making it first and then some transfers by big clubs were triggering any clubs to put 100 millions as common price for their players. Even small clubs were also trying to do the same thing like the big club as well. The small club will put high price when there was a player being targeted by the big club.
Middle easy clubs were actually offering non sense amounts of contract. It's even bigger compared with the release clause in EU team.

It is very surprising news for me to hear that Messi is about to sign for Inter Miami. A month from now he is going to be a player for them officially. All things have happened really quickly honestly and I wasn't expecting him to make a quick decision on his future. Did you read some of the posts above you about Messi's certainty to Inter Miami? so he has made a deal, no more debates or having to wait for which club will be his next career place. Well, he must have picked Inter Miami to move to over Barcelona for a reason. And it's purely his business. Perhaps he did go over there to retire or he may be weary of competitive football which he would surely engage in if he moves over to either Barcelona or Saudi Arabia and he may just want to continue to enjoy playing football without all the craze and completion attached to it and he he feels he can get that at Inter Maimi.

A 3-year contract in MLS, I think it's quite surprising that Messi finally owns MLS.
