Gallagher is only 24 years old why would a 2+1 contract for such a player be fair? I think Chelsea could easily offer him a full 3 or 4 year contract with an option to extend it for another year and besides Gallagher is a Chelsea pupil, a player of character who always gives his best on the pitch and fans and experts appreciate him for that.
As for fair contract terms, you can look at West Ham, who signed 31 year old Füllkrug on a 3+1 scheme and paid 30 million euros for the transfer, and Chesley has a 24 year old player, an academy pupil and they just sell him for 40 million to Atletico Madrid.

Conor Gallagher. Great player. Outstanding productivity. Chelsea, they really are lucky to have him. Still, occasionally even the greatest require a change of environment. an unfamiliar difficulty. Still even a new league. Observe Jude Bellingham. Went to Real Madrid; today he is flourishing. Atlético Madrid is wise. They find Gallagher to have promise. In the 2022/23 season, he was given opportunity to play when Jesus got injured, he scored 9 goals in 10 matches which Jesus couldn’t score after starting for Arsenal for most matches.

The main reason why Arsenal didn’t let him go is because they Marseille don’t value him and they offers small amount of money which I don’t expect Arsenal to accept.

Yes, I read this news a few days ago. I remember Atletico Madrid was interested in him. I didn't see anything about him rejecting Atletico Madrid. He could probably transfer to Atletico Madrid. He played a lot of games for Chelsea last year, he was one of the most important players in the team. I don't understand why Chelsea didn't want him this year, I think he was very good. Honestly I don't expect much from him and talking about opportunity when Gabriel Jesus was out, that was when I expected him to do better but why can't he do something positive while the chance was given to him? Even before when Gabriel Jesus hasn't join the team you can't say Nketiah has been pretty good, he lack that consistency and no one would let him be the main striker when he hasn't proven himself when the Gunners wasn't having a better striker.
As for Gabriel Jesus I can't play him as my number 9 if I'm to be the coach because he's better from the wing than facing the goal post. From my own point of view Arsenal should keep Nketiah to continue and fight for shirt with Gabriel Jesus and Havertz as main striker, recall the gunners scored 91 goal all through last season without a permanent No. 9 strikers that means all their attacking players can score goals, for instance the likes of Havertz, Trosaard, Saka, Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus can scored without relying on permanent  main striker, I think Arteta should focus more on their midfield particularly look for an alternative player to replace injury prone Thomas Partey whose absence had cost and affected the team in some crucial matches, moreso the team left back where Zinchenko had flopped, however now with Calafiori in that position all is now set for a bright season ahead.

Connor is young though, I mean I get that 2+1 extension doesn't feel like that was good enough for him, but by the end he will be 26, and if extended then 27. That feels like he should be still pretty good by the end of the contract, what did he expect, a 10 year contract? I get that he wanted 5 years, but he would be 29 instead of 27, which isn't really that ideal, he would be starting to get old, nearly 30. In today's age 30 years old isn't that old in football that's for sure, but still not a 27 year old. I see nothing wrong with Mikel Arteta choice, always making the best decision for the promising future of Arsenal. Gunners are probably the next team after Manchester City in the English Premier League. A tough one for them but they will survive because they're strong enough. Actually when talking about playing time I think he has a lot of opportunities where when looking at the statistics and the time given by Arteta it is quite a lot even though most of it starts from the bench.



The record of him playing in the last few seasons in the EPL and Champions League actually we can see that a lot of time should have been for Eddie Nketiah it's just that it's very difficult for him to compete in the EPL which makes his performance standard and seems monotonous.

It would be better if he was let go but Arsenal set the price too high because looking at the situation the first offer of 27 million from Marseille was rejected because Arsenal wanted a price of 35-40 million for Nketiah which of course this is a consideration because it is still too big.

Honestly Chelsea should have tabled a better offer for  Gallagher, unfortunately they let him leave, however whether they like it not he would be missed in their midfield, his energetic and power in the middle of team is what I admire about his style of play and is second to none in that squad and Iam very sure Athletic Madrid would utilize his services and potentials ptimally where a regular playing time would be guaranteed, it's up for Enzo Murresca to find a perfect replacement for him in the team which I doubt about getting one of present players to fit and pksy that role

Honestly I am disappointed with the appointment of Manchester United regarding player purchases. If you are a fan of this club you should know that there is something wrong with United's health staff. They seem to be working carelessly. Chelsea disrespected him by offering a very short contract extension. I understand why he rejected it. It was to to get a long contract extension from the club. This is the reason why Gallagher was always rejecting the new contract from Chelsea.

Those who don't know the details would blame Gallagher. They would blame his decision not to accept a new contract from Chelsea.

I'd like to see him come and join in the ATM as a new player instead of staying on Chelsea.

To be honest, I don't think the two years contract with the option of extending it to an extra one year by Chelsea to Conor Gallagher was fair enough considering his current age. Personally, I feel it's the same as telling him to leave without coming out out clear about it and for a player that knows his worth, the England international decided to leave the club. Even after deciding to leave Chelsea, Gallagher rejected some offers from other clubs including Atletico Madrid finally tabled what he deemed okay for himself. Gallagher during this summer transfer window have shown that he actually knows his worth and wouldn't take anything less. Hopefully, he succeeds at  his new club.

Honestly Chelsea should have tabled a better offer for  Gallagher, unfortunately they let him leave, however whether they like it not he would be missed in their midfield, his energetic and power in the middle of team is what I admire about his style of play and is second to none in that squad and Iam very sure Athletic Madrid would utilize his services and potentials ptimally where a regular playing time would be guaranteed, it's up for Enzo Murresca to find a perfect replacement for him in the team which I doubt about getting one of present players to fit and pksy that role

I like Gallagher energy and hard work on field but I also think he has a problem he often misses chances to score goals. For top team like Chelsea midfielder who ca not score goals can be a problem. Gallagher tries hard but he is not good at finishing. That might be why Chelsea let him go. Team needs players who can score goals regularly and if Gallagher ca not do that, it's okay that the team is looking for someone better.
