Whats happening to my favo coin  Huh

Came someone with free hash power, mined and sells. Since there is still no normal exchange, the price dropped. I think so.

What do you guys think about DeepOnion?  I think there is a healthy competition there, and great ideas.  The mass airdrop/distribution is great.  Maybe some of us early posters here can get the same treatment!   Grin

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/?coin=SUMO

Sumokoin (SUMO) CryptoNight  POW  43339 Maintenance   Active   v0.1.1.0

"Thanks for contacting Cryptopia.

Currently this wallet is down for maintenance, which is why nothing is showing up on your Cryptopia side of things at the moment.

Once this status has been lifted transactions will continue to process as normal.

Unfortunately we do not have an ETA at this point in time as the investigation is still underway.

Your patience in the meantime is very much appreciated.

I'd recommend keeping an eye on our Coin Info page at https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/?coin=SUMO to be kept up to date with the status of this wallet.

It is also a good idea to have a look at this page before you deposit into your Cryptopia account, so you can be aware of any potential delays in receiving your coin in advance.

Kind regards,
Cryptopia Support"

So any ETA from SumoKoin side?

It is strange that they dont mention the reason for keeping the wallet under maintenance.
There are many nodes and everyone's wallet is working just fine. Transactions between users are smooth and fast as always.
Let's wait for Cryptopia's excuse...

Can we get an update on the Cryptopia wallet issue directly from the Sumokoin devs, please?

SUMOKOIN concept looks good. Fork of monero.
but this coin needs to be listed on more exchanges to decrease price manipulation

I agree - I'm hoping that as more ETH miners point their rigs to Monero they will realize they are not going to be profitable long-term and will look for new , similar alternatives like SUMO and from there we see the price increase again.

Interesting. Currently, the combined total hash rate of the four mining pools mentioned on this thread is around 37.31 KH/sec (with pool.somokoin.com having the highest at around 31 KH/sec) while the network hash rate is only 757.48 KH/sec. These four pools haven't found a block for hours or days. Who else is mining? Premining is no longer happening and already done, right?

One reason is they are suffering from the botnet. The other reason is people are mining XMR because it is quite profitable at the moment. Easier to mine XMR to buy back SUMO.

I understand the botnet part. But pool.sumokoin.com found a significant number of blocks (and proportionally the others too) just a couple of days ago when network hash rate was over 2 MH/sec and at one point, it even went up to around 4 MH/sec with obviously much higher difficulty. It doesn't make sense.
