I never keep very much money in online wallets. All it takes is the site to make up a hacker story about why your bitcoins are gone and you are out.
If you're keeping Bitcoin in mass numbers then it is not really that advisable for you to store your coins to an online wallet for it has so much risk in it. Only use online wallets for daily or weekly transactions. But if you want to save up that really large numbers of coins you have then it is pretty much highly advisable for you to store it in a cold storage or hardware wallets, just watch out for viruses though.

Which of the Bitcoin wallets between the Online and Offline works best?

If you are holding a lot of bitcoins, go with Hardware wallet If you are planning to use them from time to time otherwise go with Paper wallets for long term storage. Desktop wallet such as Electrum can be a good choice If you can't really afford a hardware wallet.

Well for me, I prefer online wallets rather than offline ones because online services like Xapo & Blockchain.info provides the best security and yet easy to use, user friendly and has "2 factor authentication" security. And they are not going anywhere anytime soon because they are here to stay.

Talking about what works best offline wallets, I don't have with it. If you want to make your bitcoins very safe and being storage on a wallet that you don't worry, you have the right choice. About online wallets, you don't have any back up there so when something happened to the providers, say goodbye to your precious bitcoins.

First, don't confuse the terms "offline" vs. "online", use "bitcoin wallet" and "bitcoin account" instead. All wallets that are not considered "cold storage" are "online" because they are connected to the internet. Bitcoins reside in the block chain. A bitcoin wallet contains the keys that allow you to spend the bitcoins. A bitcoin account is an account with some service (such as an exchange) that holds bitcoins for you. They hold the keys to the bitcoins in their wallet and your account keeps track of how many of the bitcoins in their wallet are supposed to be yours.

I like the wallet online because it is very simple and easy to use. But my friends advise to use the wallet offline because the security is better than the wallet online.

For everyday payments I choose an online wallet. It's very fast, convenient and simple to use. But for long term and really big money offline wallet is much more reliable.

I'm using both of them and I use offline wallets to keep allmost of my bitcoin cause It's safer than online wallet but I'm still spending a little amount of bitcoin on my online wallet to make some small deal cause it's very convinient when I'm going out I can make a transaction with my smartphone or just need to log into my account if I use another computer Cheesy

My personal opinion is that, offline wallet is more better. in this system  there is no need to Internet connection. Besides, offline wallet is controlled by us.so i think offline wallet is the best.

Internet connection you need anyway. For any action with crypto currency desired network. It is only at first glance it seems that offline wallet is more secure. Actually using it has so many problems that I think online wallet more acceptable and comfortable.

For long term storage, please use offline paper wallet or hardware wallets. Paper wallet must be carefully generated though.

For daily/ frequent use, you can consider one of the mobile wallet- after all you do not bring your computer with you everywhere. Try breadwallet.
If you are dealing to choose a wallet you need to consider things. The first thing to consider is the usage or it. Because if you are going to used specific wallet on holding and saving it is much better to choose offline wallet where you could actually have the time to manage it and you have the control whenever you are going to used it or not. While in investments or trading ituch better to used an online wallet where you could actually monitor the price and the trend of Bitcoin.

There is no question about it - offline wallets are what you need if you want to be safe and not lose all of your Bitcoin. When you have an offline wallet, or "cold storage", you cannot be hacked!!! It is impossible because the only way you could get hacked is if you share your private key with someone which of course is very stupid and then you deserve to lose your Bitcoins. Tongue

Yes it's true that offline wallet are secure but only if the pc has not been infected by trojan aka RAT.
If you are not sure about your pc then better use an online wallet from a well-protected device unless your pc is rat free.

there is No Online wallets that are safe to use. They can scam anytime.

I consider blockchain.info is a good online wallet and it is safe to use for me. I've been using it for a year and a half and I didn't find any single problem with it but only it's recommended fees sometimes it's high. Coinbase is also a good one as it's a legit company, xapo also but with higher fees.

you can use multiple site to hold on.

Otherwise,
If you have a lot of BTC then it is better to use an offline wallet like hardware wallet.

i suggest you try trezor, it is one of the best wallet.
I am using our own local online wallet and i think it is safe to use because of its security. I have been troubled in some problem tl it i message them and they response so very fwst since then i pit my trust on them.. and many of my friends are using it too. In an offline wallet i am using electrum. Both are  good as long as ypu know how to secure.

Local exchanger are registered company so it doesn't mean that it's a game over already once they turned into fraud. Still they will faced the consequences if they become fraud. I don't see it will happened since what is the essence of having a big money hacked if their identiy is exposed and will become a wanted persons.

Using also a local online wallet but only for withdrawal purposes since no doubt that exchangers is the best thing to used when exchanging bitcoin into fiat.

How can you just casually say that all those online wallets are frauds and always tends to scam people. How narrow-minded you are, you see many people are using online wallets and have no problems at all. It probably depends on what wallet you're using, if you're confident with that wallet because you've confirmed all the security measures that are required then its fine. Besides its not the online wallets have the faults but those who're using it, because they've did not research well enough to get the security they needed.

For me there's a disadvantage and advantage on the offline and online wallet.
first on offline wallet i think offline wallet cant hack on you even you give them your code or security phrase on your wallet
on online wallet there a lot of possibility to hack your wallet but its defend on you if you not secure your wallet
but on online wallet you will get auto update on any token or coins you have ...

I still can't seems to accept the concept of online wallet especially those that doesn't let you hold all or part of your private keys. No private key means not your coins!

Which of the Bitcoin wallets between the Online and Offline works best?

Offline wallets will give you the most protection and security. As long as you have secured your private keys, no one can access you Bitcoins in an offline wallet. They can be fully secure.

There is always a risk with online wallets because they can get hacked. And definitely don't leave many of your Bitcoins on an exchange because they can get hacked or steal your money or just go out of business. I would suggest only keeping a small amount on an exchange just for trading.
