How much were the 1070's 6 months ago?
Most were around $410 give or take $30, with the "water cooled" cards closer to $500. That's NewEgg pricing, BTW - I gave up on eBay a long time ago when they started pushing Paypal as their primary payment method.

Those numbers sound pretty hard for me to attain. Today I've set my 2 1800ti's to mine on equihash in the most efficient way I could achieve. I was able to get 4 Sol/w efficiency at about 163 watts each, that's 650 hash/s per GPU

Clearly the best bet at the moment.

This is a calculator and the profit at the current difficulty. It's real. There still are coins that can give you more than $10 per card per day. My miner does 15.5 MHASH on the 1080ti. A 480x does 3MHASH with the opensource miner. calculator: https://bitmakler.net/SpreadCoin___miningblockexplorer: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/spr/

It's number one by a wide margin according to whattomine, only had it running for 12 hours. I'm significasntly beneath the estimates at the moment but that might just be bad luck. Should be 25 USD a day in mona relative to 23 in vert and lower in others. edit - with 5 Ti's

I bought 2 MSI 1070 Gaming X for my rig. Actually i wanted to buy 3, but they don´t sell more than 2 per customer. Now I have to purchase the third in another shop. It´s so weird atm. 550€ each, guessed ROI 2043 What could possibly go wrong

"Under 70% TDP" is a meaningless figure when the actual TDP varies so much on different cards. A card with a 300 watt TDP will be at 210 watts, while a card with a 250 watt TDP would be using only 200 watts at a 80% TDP, for example.

Let's stick to apples and apples comparisons here. Also, if you're going with the "lowest" figure, a lot of 1070 cards were on sale at various times on NewEgg at $379 (thus the "give or take $30" part of my comment) - though WHICH ones in any given week varied. The cards actually at $410 or so would have been mid-range to higher-end cards, like the EVGA FTW models or the Gigabyte Gaming models, as opposed to the lower-end stuff like the EVGA "SC" and Gigabyte "G1" and "ITX" models.

Just make sure your PSU has the connections
They require two 8 pins, messed up my plans and had to move cards around because of that

Fact - Newegg ebay was selling 1070's @ $319 and 1080's @ $419 2 months ago That was my benchmark to try and get a great deal at the time

I saw them going for that at frys...With tax tho so I didn't buy I'm sure 1070s went for ~300 As a gamer I certainly wouldn't be paying anything near 300 for a used 1070 I'm sure I saw them otehr places at that price, i remember looking for one with no tax/shipping

Anyone else having issues getting up to a full 65 MH/s on lyra2rev2 with ccminer on windows with the 1080tis?
When I run it in nicehash i get 65 just like the calcualotrs expect, nicehash and whattomine.
But when I run it with cciminer 2.0 windows tpuvot I can only get it up to 60 MH/s. Which bring it down to basically even with nice hash. Maybe even under because I can't hop on spikes
edit - or maybe this is expected? Nicehash works different? IDK
Happens on windows 7 1 GPU, also happens on a 4 gpu rig with a 1080 on it with windows 10

I was/am getting full 65mh/s on lyra2rev2 using nicehash with 100% tdp core clock running at 1949 72C temp btw only reason I am running nicehash is because otherwise my $20 go to waste lol , they don't pay to external wallets unless balance is 0.01 btc or higher, I wish I had known this before and would've never ran it. As soon as I hit that I'd uninstall that. Shows I'd be making $5 a day lol

I can run 65 mh/s at well under 80 TDP with nicehash, but I have the 8/8 gaming x's so the draw might be higher than the FE not sure how that works.
I can't get ccminer to do it for me in the pool tho, only reporting ~59 MH/s locally
