hi all

for the last 2 months i have had nicehash miner 2 running full time on a home pc left on 24/7 but also the pc is used for daily us, it uses a Zotac 1080ti extreme edition on these settings http://prntscr.com/h65lq7 ie under clocked

here is a pic for the month

http://prntscr.com/h65mnl

is nice hash just for beginners? could i be getting a lot better return ?

if so which is the best way for a home pc

cheers

for a beginner using NiceHash (windows program) i gather my single 1080TI is wasted and it would be better on Zcash,  can someone point me in the right directions for all the bits i need.

thx

Have somebody noticed huge difference between EWBF and CCminer?

I'm mining ZenCoin.

Hashrate with EWBF: 680H/S (175W)
Hashrate with ccminer: 520H/S (175W)

Why?

Ccminer added equihash also not that long ago but it’s not optimized and never use it. I have started using dtsm’s miner though with better results than ewbf https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2021765.0

Never heard about dtsm

As I'm mining with ETHOS, I suppose that's not an option "actually" for my. Maybe with the next ETHOS release. I'll make a proposition

you should try nvOC

I am earning a lot less zcoins On MiningpoolHub then I should be according to whattomine etc,
Should earn around 0.9-1 zcoins with my 3 1080 tis and 1 1060 but I am only getting 0.5 -0.64
Don't know if its the pool or its just that zcoin isn't profitable anymore
Anyone else mining zcoin on MPH or suprnova or anyother pool
I am thinking of switching to  Suprnova or switching back to DGB altogether , Was thining of switching to bitcoingold altogether but its main net is taking to much time to release

With MPH I had 30% invalid shares with zcoin.  I switched to Supnova and now at only 5% invalid.

I don't trust MPH anymore, something is fuckey about that pool.

you have a better ping with suprnova, nothing else. It can make a lot of difference with some algos.

I personally avoid that pool, it is mediocre at best.

1080ti is a pretty good video card and it is high end. So I think it should be good for mining.

Do any of you run your 1080ti miners at stock or overclock, or are you all underclocking?

i always OC my cards.   When i get them, i run stock tests, then throw them at my usual OC clocks depending on what im mining.
Eth/Zcash, i go +150/+700-750, 71ish% tdp) , for LBRY algo i go +250 core if i can get it (some cards wont do +250 on core) and -400 mem.
Some people like to use Nvidia inspector to push it -1000 on mem on some algos, but i personally found instability with that low of mem set Sad
-400 seems good

Personally I  underclock between 60-80 percent power TDP power,  Overclock Core to +125 for all settings (generally stable and safe)

60 percent TDP if i feel like being efficient because coin price is fair to slightly over valued.

80 percent  if I'm feeling bullish to accumulate more coins if I think coin price has hit bottom.

some people have recently popularized mining Vertcoin and Sibcoin with 1080ti's, are these really better than Zcash profitability at the moment ?

I guess Vertcoin has a lot of promise for the future, can be a top class coin, would it be worth it to switch over to it from Zcash, if so what miner would you use on Windows 10 ?

You can also try LUXcoin. Works good with nvidia cards. But is a Bet. The coin can gain or loose is value quickly.

Anybody have recommandation to mine Komodo? I love the project behind but not sure if it's profitable to mine with nvidia

I am currently mining Zcoin on MPH , its giving a decent amount of earnings around 10 $ a day on average for 3 1080 tis , but some of the days its even less then 7 $ , depends on pool luck and other factors I think , Have sticked to zcoin so far due to its power consumption is really low
I Might switch to Bitcoin gold when it releases , Don't think so its price will be that good buts I think its better to diversify your assets then mining or holding a single coin
