Anyone mining Bitcoin Gold and on what pool?

Yes, I have had a few GPUs in personal computers pointed at BTG (when not being gamed on) on Suprnova pool since it launched and there have been no problems at all. Most pools seem to have been a horror story the first couple of days, but Suprnova was rock solid all along and has paid out like clockwork.  BTG is worth mining for daily profit, but there's also a chance it takes off down the road if you want to just hold them for a few months.

idk man that guy kinda lost me when he was like "if i say the math = 300, these are terrible, but if my maths off and these are 150, then thats pretty impressive" Cheesy

I lost all credibility in him when he started talking like that, haha, which sucked as it seems he knows his shit, why take educated guesses on the line of "shit or impressive"?  youtube hit bait

i OWN zotac extremes, they are bomb, sure they use 30 more watts, but thats meh to me, they OC like a boss, look great and keep cool, fills most of my perfect card requirements.
of course if i had 500 cards, 30 watts would matter, but i personally dont, so it's dosent, to me Cheesy

At 10cents/kwh, 30 watts is $26usd per year. Not insignificant if you ask me  Cheesy

I had some problems with Suprnova. Round progress was going over 400% and i didnt get any BTG. Tried pool.gold and i got some inmature balance but dont sure if i should mine zec or btg.

I agree Zotac it is a good card for the money it costs!
Do not know why people have doubts about it?

Different cards - different opinions. My mostly like - Gigabyte Aorus. Palit GameRock(not premium) looks like more quiet, but gives me less hashes at the higher temperature.

Hi

I'm very new to this thing of mining, so sorry for the noob quesions.

I've a Strix 1080 Ti that was bougth to play games, but as my time to play is scarce, I've started to mining some Zcash

I'm running Ethos using the dtsm miner to suprnova, and getting the follow performance:

Sol/s: 650
Sol/w: 4.1
Avg: 653
Sh: 7.2

Is this a decent performance for my VGA?

Another doubt that I have is about Shares.

I think I've a good Sol/s but the Shares is too low(7.2).
Is there a way to improve this performance?
Or I'm wrong and 7.2 is a good number?

Thanks in advance

If you pay more that 10c / kW for electricity then all you should be worried about is Sol/w and 4.1 is very decent.

you can actually flash GameRock with Premium bios and this will help to push more hashrate, the temps will be the same
but hashrate will increase for 5-7%. I did it with my cards, worked nicely .

Guys

Sorry if it's not the right place to ask this... if not, please tell me where should I.

When you mine through Windows, does your anti virus detect the miner as a infectious file and kills it?
Should I turn off my anti virus and mining without it?

rather then turn off your AV, i would recommend just whitelisting the miner file
This is a well known issue with these miner files, as they were flagged back in the day when people maliciously packaged them Sad
One day, and some miners dont trigger it ;p

read the forums man, especially EVERYTHING relevant from this board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0  (current board)

Anyone having issues with NiceHash Miner 2 ?

I have two rigs:

Rig 1: 1060 6GB running Win 10
Working without any problems with NiceHash Miner 2 after disabling the firewall during installation of the miner and adding exceptions for the whole folder in Roaming and Local.

Rig 2: 1080 Ti running Win 10
Identical hardware setup as the 1060 rig but impossible to get working with Nicehash Miner 2 doing exactly as above.

A good energy-efficient and profitable algorithm for the card, this is phi1612. Temperature and consumption are low compared to zec and other algorithms(keccak, blake2s, timetravel, c11).

There are more energy-efficient algos like M7 (XCN coin) and Lyra2z (XZC)
