1060 still is same, cpu load now when 1080 Ti is on stock, cpu load is: 14%. When i was OC 1080ti at +90 core clock and +300 mem clock i hear some cooler like when i is hitting cable but it is not. at start i hear that and then it stops, after that Power Consuption get down at 70-75% and i need to reset my PC so i can get back. it wont get back if i reset afterburner settings and reset miner.
i just set my core clock: +30 mem clock +200 and i got from 720-750 sol/s
The card shouldn't be making any weird noises when you start mining, there might be something physically wrong with it (although it could be just the fan(s) rattling at some particular rpm). Did you try uninstalling the graphics drivers with DDU and installing them again, or did you just install the card into the system and let the windows find the driver for it? And for the 3rd time, do you have enough power — what is your PSU? i did not install and reinstall any drivers, i had my GTX 1060 in my case and just pluged 1080Ti with riser but my gtx 1060 is not pluged with riser, it is directly on mobo. I have PSU 1000W Raidmax Gold Core clock now: +60, mem clock +200. I'm getting around 740-750 sol/s, running 10min. edit: i got near 760 sol/s now... lol . I don't want to rain on the parade, but typically Raidmax makes poor quality stuff. With a 1000 watt PSU you have quite a bit of leeway, so you should be fine, but I would be quite nervous about running anything close to the normal "safe wattage" of ~80% load on the PSU. Basically what I am saying is that if you continue to have issues, the PSU is the most likely culprit. Well i dont think so that psu is a problem, i just got Raidmax RX-1000AE-B. I have only 2 GPU, 1060 and 1080ti. i have pretty stable now at +60 +200 PL 104% if i didnt increase PL to 104 it happens again. i read on Asus forum that Micron memory have poor OC ability that core clock is almost maxed out.

Hi guys!
I am looking to buy a new gaming pc and do not care about electricity cost. Wanna learn more about mining and crypto.
I have searched the net but couldn't quite find what I was looking for... I am ready to do my homework and research
but I ask you, do you have good links/sources where I can read about mining equipment for home users.
Don´t wanna build big rig, just hobby mine on gaming PC. I was thinking of Monero or other Altcoin, no coins with ASIC activated. Red that the 1080Ti is quite good, but that is just one part of the PC...
Any advice?? Thanks

if you want just PC for gaming i think you need just 1 GPU, so GPU is most important part in that.

Seems like a totally normal graph to me, just one drop when the miner lost connection with the pool, or the stats just weren't recorded for some time (easy to check actually if the miner keeps logs or is still running — to see whether there were any disconnects at that time).

I have a little problem with OC at 100% tdp +100 core. i have power loss and it start to hit 300 sols i need to reset pc so i only can do 85%tdp +100core and +300 memory. dont wanna fuckwiththat anymore.

That Strix card is already close to its max from the factory, when you add +100 at the stock 100% PL it's probably just too much for it so it crashes the driver. After a crash like this it often defaults to some kind of "emergency" mode and that's why you're getting 300 sols unless you reboot.

Whatever your card is capable of. Each card is unique, you just test different clocks at different voltages, find out which pairs are stable, check the power consumption and temps and choose whatever you like the most. I run my 1080 Ti cards at 0.85V, most are stable at ~ 1850 MHz and all run under 60C. That's what makes sense to me, but it doesn't matter that something like this would be the best for you. Test your card(s) and pick the mode that makes the most sense to you.
