Guys, what are you mining right now? And what's the profit per card?

A lot are mining ZCoin though Groestl looks to be profitable too.

Did I help you? If yes, hit me up with some Eth!

How long until Volta comes out?  Seems questionable whether it is worth dropping 750$ on a 1080ti right now.  Isn't it getting "old" at this point?

Hard to say which coins the Volta architecture will be good for. If it uses HBM2 then all the ETH and similar memory bandwidth heavy coins will benefit.

Did I help you? If yes, hit me up with some Eth!

I have been mining zcash w/ewbf.  Is it worth it to switch over to zcoin?

I totally get the point about days not investing (while waiting for volta) are days without processing any work and missed opportunity.  That makes sense.

I want to put another 1080ti in my MSI B350 motherboard and max out my setup.  The B350 officially supports x-fire only not SLI.  Is it possible to have two 1080ti on this motherboard as long as they are separate and not in SLI?

That didn't work out well with Vega tho.  I was very hyped on HBM.  ETH relies heavily on memory latency over bandwidth.  HBM doesn't offer that much.  If the TDP is low maybe it's good.  But Vega does best on Cryptonight algo.  It took advantage of the bandwidth.

SLI is purely for gaming. For mining it has zero effect, and 2 cards will work fine as 2 separate miners

Yes, Cryptonight sorry - i got them mixed up. Vega is a Monero mining monster.

hi,

anyone knows what mining pool is best for mining MONAcoin? I tried suprnova the last two days and am getting really bad profit - around 223 Mh/s for 6x 1080TI
223 Mh/s accepted: 75/75 (diff 10.447), 233.65 MH/s yes!

your doing it wrong man,  65 mh/s per 1080ti and you have x6.. = 230mh/s? Cheesy
keep in mind a rig like that needs a beefier CPU for some algos, or else that happens :/

you guys see nicehash? damn im happy i control my own keys, 62 million dollars gone in 12 hours, WOW Sad
and this is crypto so every hack could have been an inside job Sad
Oh well, i dont mine there, no loss here.  lots of people DO mine there tho Sad Sad

Shame it happened, hopefully they recover. They do offer a pretty easy functional service.

I heard Volta will come with HBM 2 technology and persoanlly I think devs will take some times to fully optimize and utilitize the next gen there out of box hashrate might be similar to fury x etc and if there power consumption is just as much it won't be worth it and anyways the days u aren't investing are the days you aren't getting any profit
And even after announcements the cards will take over a month to be available for sale
Personally I would buy more 1080tis just because of the lyra2z algo
I am currently looking at ASICS like s9 but have never bought them before but there profit now  a days seems too real to be true
1400 dollar machine and getting 1000 dollars per month seems unbelieveable

I agree, may as well keep buying until Volta’s announced.
Could be soon, could be a while, maybas well maximise the good mining times.

What settings are you using for MONA?
I have 60-62 MH/s (on suprnova) with my Asus Strix 1080Ti with those settings:
TDP 70%
Core +100
Memory -500

It's using like 180W, temp is 60°C, fan 30%

Adkinsbet scammed me for 0.44003 BTC
