I have none because of the lag with the central node and the missing UPnP option in the client, and conections where limited to 8....
Doesn´t work with my router... besides, any other client just works fine in my PC, this one doesn´t...

So why am I only getting 8kh/s on an i5 and 6-7kh/s on an i7 when other people are reporting numbers in the hundreds?
Using win7 64bit on all systems I guess is the issue? But then I see a few people with the same OS reporting these high numbers?
What the hell is going on?
some other process is taking a chunk of cpu usage. check your task manager Definitely not, I'm an IT manager and in IT for over 20 years, so I am fully aware of everything my PC is currently doing. If I had an option and the programs I require ran properly in VMBox or WINE I would have Linux installed. I still think there is something not "quite right" with the builds running on x64 windows.... Yeah... that explains why one of my friends missed all the initial mining. He's on win7 and to be honnest the client seemed to be a bit buggy from the moment i unpacked it

People trying linux for the first time, you need to run this command before you can make it with QTcreator sudo apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev libssl-dev libdb4.8++-dev More details here: http://ubuntuhak.blogspot.ca/2012/11/bitcoin-basics-and-ubuntu-1204.htmlI really like that people here were all raving about the lack of a premine. Apparently you've all been had if you've been running the Windows binaries of the program that were released at launch, because my Linux binaries are about 10x faster. OP on linux probably had 10,000 blocks before anyone else. Good call though for OP, release a Windows version that 95% of people on here will use that mines 10 times as slow, and it doesn't look like you've got an actual premine but you yourself are mining an order of magnitude faster than everyone else. He'll probably be walking away with bags full of money.

i always have max of 8 connection. And was mining ok (well i did also get my share of orphans). UPnP IS IN THE CLIENT!!! people, PLEASE stop complaining about the orphans. Especially if you have no idea how solo mining works. how many "invalid" shares do you get on a pool? guess what, those are "orphans"! suck it up! UPnP isn´t in the client as someone said before, "too hard to compile" or similar. And when i mine in a pool i get only ~1-5% invalids shares, not 100%

Can't help but think there are either some huge cpu farms working this now, or it's being gpu mined now.
Probably a mix of both. I was stuck in "newbie jail" so I couldn't weigh in earlier (this was the first thread I thought worth actually registering to post in). I got a late start, about 8 hours after the coin was released. I commenced mining with 800 servers with 2x Xeon E5450's (rows and rows of IBM BladeCenters) when difficulty was reaching 0.008. Shortly after, I provisioned an additional 760 Amazon c1.xlarge instances, starting when difficulty was reaching 0.020. I shut everything down when difficulty reached 0.1 last night. Observations, orphan rate was about 20% across all 1560 servers, with an average of ~60 connections (modified outbound connection count in the client). At the time I shut everything down with difficulty at 0.1, I was solving roughly 15% of the blocks. Hash rate on the 2x E5450 servers averaged about 300kH/sec, and the Amazon c1.xlarge instances averaged about 200kH/sec, so I was mining with apprx 392,000kH/sec. Based on that, I estimate the network hash rate was actually about 2,613,333kH/sec at that time. Yeah, I know I could probably calculate a better figure from the block spacing vs. difficulty, but I didn't feel like digging into the source to determine the exact relationship between hash rate, difficulty and block solving rate. And I know from trying to estimate block solving rate with litecoinpool's calculator that Yacoin's difficulty calculation differs significantly from LTC. It's entirely possible that a large number of people also had the same bright idea to spin up a huge number of Amazon EC2 instances and that could possibly account for the hash rate, but I suspect the reality is that GPU farms were crunching Yacoin based on my observations. Either that, or Amazon was the party that profited the most from Yacoin (so far). :-) Just for kicks, I fired 100 servers back up a bit ago to mine for a while starting when difficulty was 0.3, just to see how things compare. I see 0% orphan rate now over the last couple hours and I'm definitely still solving blocks..

There's a big difference there

yeah virtualbox does not pass the AVX... so it has to be done natively.
For anyone using Amazon's EC2 instances, which use Xen as the virtualization platform, I can save you some time and note that Amazon's EC2 instances don't support the AVX instruction either. Even though the c1.xlarge instances are hosted on Xeon E5-2650 CPU's (or at least all of mine were): processor : 0 vendor_id : GenuineIntel cpu family : 6 model : 45 model name : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650 0 @ 2.00GHz stepping : 7 microcode : 0x70a cpu MHz : 1795.674 cache size : 20480 KB physical id : 0 siblings : 8 core id : 3 cpu cores : 1 apicid : 6 initial apicid : 6 fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 13 wp : yes flags : fpu de tsc msr pae cx8 sep cmov pat clflush mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss ht syscall nx lm constant_tsc rep_good nopl nonstop_tsc pni pclmulqdq ssse3 cx16 pcid sse4_1 sse4_2 x2apic popcnt tsc_deadline_timer aes hypervisor lahf_lm bogomips : 3591.34 clflush size : 64 cache_alignment : 64 address sizes : 46 bits physical, 48 bits virtual power management: root@ip-10-249- (censored):~/yacoin-avx/src# ./yacoind Illegal instruction (core dumped)

Please stop mining this coin you are only subsidizing, with hard earned electricity, the small group who effectively pre-mined 2 million coins
has the coin been premined that much? That sucks! someone should make a "cpu only coin" that hasnt been premined. lol and you believe him ? hehe well, i did. Im not an expert in this digital currency but im learning every day=P theres a couple of holes to be filled, for example understand how to figure out if something has been pre mined. until then i check what people write in the forums=)

So basically I have a deps dir where all the coins repo dirs live, so each makefile.fedora can have added into it -I../../deps/include and -L../../deps/lib so they all use the custom openssl I placed in deps (dependencies) dir. -MarkM-

Same problem with an 8 core xeon. 5 kh/s per core. And using -a scrypt-jane. Which minerd are you using? There is old one and newer one, optimized for YAC. Check back on this thread, there is a link somewhere. I'm getting 10 kHashes with each core of Athlon64 x2 4800. minerd --algo=scrypt-jane --threads=2 --scantime=1 --url=127.0.0.1:8108 --user=username_goes_here --pass=password_goes_here --debug ali1234 fork optimized for scrypt-jane. And yes, I know the command syntax.

In minerd my debug output shows a ton of Hash > Target (false positive)
I've never seen debug mode before, I assume these are attemps to solve the block that are incorrect? Sorry for the question if it's stupid but I could not find documentation on it anywhere.

SWEET! Is there any way to get information from yacoin-qt about the total hashing power in the client (from all the external rigs combined). gethashpersec shows only 0 since all my computers use minerd towards yacoin.qt
