I do not know how will the victims lead their life after such incident has happen in their life. In some countries, the rapists are let off freely if they marry the victim. In some countries, the rapists are given death sentence.

According to you, what can be the best punishment for these rapists so that no one else should think of raping a women. I like the punishment which is given in most of the Muslim countries - hanged to death in public. Do you think that this is fair or they should marry the victim???

I believe you are wrong, this is only If they made a sexual relation out of wedlock (while both parties agreed on doing so). I mean, what normal person would agree to marry his rapist?

The penalty should be death, a slow painful death so it will set an example to the people to think twice before commuting such offense. Theres alot of place that people can pay for sex and fulfill their sexual pleasure. Most Rapist are drug addicts and with mental health conditions.

How could anyone marry someone who has tortured and raped you, what kind of a deal is that and how can you live happily with a culprit, what my thoughts are regarding this is that,they have to face severe punishment and for solid proof case castration should be done to these animals.

Do I think that a rapist should marry the victim? No, that's insanely dumb and is just going to lead to a horrible marriage. Do I think they should me killed in some sort of way, yes I do. Can I even come close to thinking about the best way for these people to be murdered, no that's not something that I've given much though to.

Though I do think they should experience some sort of pain with there death, though I guess I just don't have the imagination to be able to muster something like that up.

Hanging is good, though it sounds like one of the more outdated ones when it comes to modern day punishments -- we can do better!

Well, I think lifetime in jail is enough and they should pay the damages to their victims. I don't see death penalty as a solution to rape. Besides, most of the rape now are with consent, it happens that they are raped by the people they know, such as their friends and boyfriends.

So I think a lifetime in jail is enough. Who knows, they will be raped there by their cellmates.

  I like that punishment. But most of Filipinos still believe in human rights. Well if I am the person to judge a rapist i will tie them on a tree and put sugar or honey for 3days. The rape victims have rights too.

It seems to me that the death penalty for rape is not the best method of punishment. Yes rape is a serious crime, but it's not to do with the murder. I think that it is enough to castrate rapists and commit their whole life to pay a percentage of the income of his victim.

I really like the punishment of castration to rapist but do you think that the government will approve this punishment. Also, even if the government approves this punishment there gang of people called Human rights commission which comes in support to the rapist but they forget about the victim who has to suffer for their entire life. Punishment for rapists, should vary from death or a for life sentence as what they do harms the victim for life. The mental torture, the damage to their self-esteem and dignity would be something they would carry for life. No matter what, I think we can agree that the punishment for them should be raised and be equal to the consequences of what they did to the victims.

Only the strongest of punishments seem to be appropriate for rape. Few other crimes can make people as angry as rape.
