RX Vega 64 Undervolting Guide for Blockchain Drivers

possible send setting for monero how minning 1800 h/s

i use blockchain driver and mine -minexmr - average 800 h/s but on my pc i see 920 h/s Huh

i use xmr-stak-amd64

please help me

You need to set up 2 mining threads.

Each time you log into Windows 10, you need to activate HBCC, in Global Setting Page. Disable it when shutting down the PC, to keep track of it.

You need to minus 13%-15% of the mining calculators, when mining Monero - it very inefficient to mine with GPUs.

Done some testing on share find rates: GPU versus CPU and it was averaging 15% below reported hashrate when compared to a CPU.

How do I contact XMR-Stak dev to request an API? There is web interface but won't be integrated into Awesome Miner with no API.

HBCC is set manually and you do it in general radeon settings - Global settings.  Not wattman.

Not sure if I understood your question correctly or not.    Apparently HBCC has to be toggled every reboot as its not showing on or off correctly?
This part on startup might give the clue though
Quote
GPU #0: gfx901, 12020 MB available, 64 compute units

What is the power watt usage for the card when set to the 43mh method.    When I move wattman settings from default with target temperature from 75 down to 69 I gain 12% in MH hash, just something worth mentioning.   AMD is not the type of card to work optimally by itself.

Just toggling HBCC while I write/read this thread(it was already showing as on in radeon panel),  I got an extra 4%  hash so worth doing.  I havent tried varying amounts applied.

Does anyone find NiceHash useful at all for management

Good mod for 44.1 ETH @ 150watt and 1800 XMR @ 100120watt
But doesn't work for dual-mining, too low voltage set by driver to be stable

my mod is slightly different resulting in stable operations in all mining cases with more speed and more power consumption.

Update: It seems I was wrong. It works for me in dual eth+lbc mode, 43mhs eth + 180mhs lbry, just lowered the -dcri ... 210watt
Update2: Tested eth+dcr: 43eth+2000dcr

Thanks man, and thanks to rednoW for sending me here!

I am as of now able to run 43.5 MH/s at around 150W solo on ETH using Claymore.
Stability is an issue, as it immediately crashes after less than a minute.
Nevertheless, the rest is up to fine tuning I suppose.

This video has help me making a huge step to efficient AMD Vega RX 56 mining!

with the registry mod, I managed to run 5 of the 6 cards. Currently using 1200W.

The 6th one crashes tho, so I have disconnected it. Any tips how to uninstall the driver on it?
Its the 0006 in the registry.

Guess some other tweaks have to be done on it, as the windows crashes on start after the mod is applied.

Just delete 0006 branch at all after booting without problem card ))

Pff. Another (that I was having problems with before) didn't want to run stable.
Fixed it for now with a bit of manual undervoltage to 1050. The other one that was not accepting the mod - I've put it some random values - 1100 / 1025 with -10 power. And its hashing at 40. But the last 2-3 leds are blinking ... Needs the full power I guess?

All stable for 20 mins now, 260 MHs ETH, ~1450W from the wall. Hopefully that will last until I wake up.
Noticed huge difference between claymore 9.8 and 10.0 - with 17.8.2 the 9.8 was giving me slightly better hashrate, now its reversed, but the difference is around 2 MHs per card.
Also the hashrate seems to be incredibly stable, values for each card rarely change, what was not the case with 17.8.2.

A big thanks to OLDcomer's Hardware!

I use Claymore to quickly enable these settings on all cards in case Wattman crashes and restores all to default (screw AMD Wattman crappy interface).

possible tell me setting for this??

Hello guys, building a 6xVega XMR mining rig, need some advice.
Parts:
Asrock H81 Pro BTC R2.0
Intel Celeron G1840 (can't get cheaper CPU)
16GB DDR3 RAM, I already have this
250GB SSD

My problem is Vega 64 and 56 are the same price (600 euros). Should I buy 64s or 56s?
Is there any point in buying a Ryzen CPU instead and have it mine as well?
Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't go with 6 Vega now, to many problems can be. 4 Vega+something else (Nvidia for example) should be fine

All fine beside GPU, why VEGA? GPU is very expensive. Even if all problems would be sorted out, still there are other gpu's with better price/hashrate ratio.

If they are the same price, buy the 64.

If you want to mine the Monero, you can buy a good CPU.

Meanwhile my rig with 3 Vegas 64 is running without dropdowns xmr @1900-1950 h/s per card.
1418Mhz@925mV (rednow-mod)
And blockchain drivers

For unstable hashrate, dropdowns:
Put the W10 energy management to High Performance,
Disable "Turn off monitor after 15min" -> leave Monitor allways on.
Monitoring Tools like Z-GPU are causing dropdowns as well.
Remote Desktop Connection is crapp as well...
Further on I applied a registry tweak from for mining which I found somewhere in www
