Good old Quark. Was the hottest thing in crypto at one time. Think this was the first huge pump and dump I can remember.
Even Max Keiser and his mates got involved. Always held on to a few. Hope it hits 25k sats again. LOL.

Will Quark still fork from PIVX or Decred or is the team taking a new approach and just building upon Quark?

What is the amount of QRK required for a master node? Are the rewards going to be increased? Other projects are giving 10-15%. Does the 30days only apply initially? I bought a few thousand but if I want to add more I think waiting for 30 days for the additional coin to increase my staking weight would suck.

Thanks!

I've come across two numbers for the masternode requirement. 500 Thousand and 250 Thousand.
Perhaps someone can clarify?

A new decentralised exchange is coming called NextExchange.  Help get Quark listed by voting here.

I think you can vote daily so keep going until we meet the 250 target, or beyond.

Thanks. Too rich for my blood especially with the piss-poor 3% stake reward.

Looks like I'll be dumping soon as I break even for another coin.

Yes 3% is for staking.
Masternodes have an alternate Reward structure 1% of Circulation PA shared among the participating Masternodes.

The following is extracted from a discussion on slack.

yagami 3:40 AM
1% is About 2.5 million
So assuming that 30 people are involved in masternode, the annual profit per person is still 30%.
According to my guess, at least 70 people will participate in masternode.

Loodog 3:43 AM
Just to make sure I understand correctly, the annual tail emmission is 1% of total coin amount (2.5 million). Of this 2.5 million 30% goes to MN holders and is divided between MN holders. 750,000 / 30 = 25,000 or 10% annually. Is that right?

yagami 3:46 AM
No, let's say 2.5 million to 10 people, 250,000 per person, and you need 250,000 to build a master node. So the annual profit is 100%.
So we can figure out
30 people participated, and the annual profit was 33%.
50 people participate, annual profit is 20%.

Is it possible to stake without "setgenerate true".
If i set it true, it really hogs the CPU.
