If I'm not mistaken this coin was on the UBQ platform, what has changed?

You made a mistake. They called like. That's what you were looking for https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/qwark/

So many people emulating quark

first the algo so many coins adopted

now the name

I'm hoping that company is looking into fixing their broken code already. What the latest word with that?

Pacatum need to get this sorted asap.

no word yet, just a continuance of total non professionalism or they are scooping up the cheap coins and it suits them to not have it fixed yet.

I agree - their official stance is that they had tried to solve it before but were unable to replicate the issues - Max however was able to himself replicate them when he looked into the community member's reported issues. However they did not communicate this and then were apparently in China the last several weeks without access to easy communication and didn't realize that we still had issues... They have told me they are looking into it currently however I have not heard anything solid back yet.

Thanks for the update on this vic. Keep on to them to get this fixed or return the funding.

Failing either or those we will start a dedicated thread to pacatum and sadly that will cause vast damage to their company if they were serious about building a name for themselves in the crypto arena.

Thats the beauty of dealing with internet based companies when you have forums ..google loves forum threads

Perhaps max himself should communicate directly with them to point out these specific issues and help them replicate them. Seems perfectly sensible solution to me.

I would really like to see a more transparent community driven leadership for quark develop I mean we have quite a few motivated people here we need to work together and keep the community involved and keep this thread near page 1.

Be good if we have some positive developments in the next week.

Why are we reinventing the wheel I see a few projects forking off of other stable projects? is it because we do not want to perform a coins swap? or were we trying for something new that has not been done already in an opensource project here? excuse my lack of technical knowledge if this is a ridiculous question.

What has pacatum coded for us if it did work?

I personally am not against anon and think an option of anon transactions is a benefit so i would have no issue having quark become a copy of a great project like pivx. I mean pivx loved quark algo we  love what they how they have come on since then. We can give them full credits on the OP ... why can we not fork this project? or are things not quite this simple?

Quark is a famous and aged project seeing it at 60 sats is a ludicrous.

Although now if anyone wants back it this is the time to make sure you get back in.

I will buy all any quark you don't want for 60 sats lol  PM me and you will be sending first.

I agree. This coin has so much potential but so far no real progress is being made. If we can get even one good dev to start things off and who can actually make some good progress, that would be great.

Bootstrap coming shortly. Previous post of the bootstrap had to be removed, the cloud server was buggy corrupting the upload. I am uploading a new bootstrap now for windows on a temporary server until a reliable service is chosen.

At these prices if you point some known devs in the right direction im sure some will find their way here. I mean with coin like quark at 50-100 sats if I was a dev I would be all over this project.

At last a bootstrap.

Visit http://www.qrknet.info/ to download the latest build. (very important, nothing will work otherwise)
]

To sync in a few minutes.

https://mega.nz/#!ZToHXAqA!YjuNPdBYSc3UgOeb5IlcQoyIubpSl4g2C-bP7hr9J9g

or
http://www.mediafire.com/file/1u6u4n6p3w2fcp9/Quarkcoin.rar

Back up your wallet before using this bootstrap!!!!!

1. Back up wallet.dat file, the most important thing to do, so you don't lose your coins (if you don't know how to do it, ask for assistance first)

2. download zip file and save to to your hard drive.

3. locate your Quarkcoin directory in your roaming folder, open it and delete all the files within it except the wallet.dat fie. Do not overwrite existing files just to ensure no conflicts.

4. Unzip and extract the all files and 2 folders contained within the Quarkcoin folder. Extract them into the quarkcoin directory contained in your roaming folder.

5. Open wallet and sync in a few minutes.

Alternatively if you are sure you have your wallet.dat file backed and safe, you can delete the entire Quarkcoin folder in your roaming directory then extract the new Quarkcoin folder in its entirety directly into the windows roaming directory.

OR

For a fresh clean install on a windows pc that does not have quark already installed, just extract the Quarkcoin folder contained in the zip file straight into the windows roaming directory.
 C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming

To sync in a few minutes.

Hello Smiley Here is a new mining pool for mining Quark.
It's based on YiiMP, no registration is needed :

  • Stratum  : lycheebit.com:4033
  • User     : YOUR_QRK_ADDRESS
  • Password : c=QRK

Exemple of CCMiner command line :
Code:
ccminer.exe -a quark -o stratum+tcp://lycheebit.com:4033 -u QUKFcAXTvNfEfRTjBuJipPGiQLxHrfDjPP -p c=QRK

Happy mining Smiley
What country is the server on? I saw OVH BE but I'm not sure if that's just a geolocated IP.

To give real service, you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity.

Is there a Slack channel at the moment?

We are moving all activity to here. Slack seems to get missed by lots of new people seeking information.

That's fine. Just wanted to make sure i was in the most relevant place for latest info.

So who is in charge of the project at the moment and what are their roles?

I am very impressed with Cryptopia as an exchange. I could not find a bad review anywhere. I am using it and its fantastic. Why does everyone avoid it?

I agree i like cryptopia. Very good exchange just needs someone to give them a few hints on usability

I mean the only exchange on the wallets page where you can not click on one of the coins you hold and go to its marketplace? or am i missing something

Yes, your right, that is a pain like you say. It would not take them long to fix either
