Here's Why Bitcoin Is On The Rise Again

Quote
"This 50-day high is a solid indicator that people are slowly re-entering the market," says Rob Viglione, co-founder of ZenCash. "Increased regulatory scrutiny globally has weighed down on crypto prices over the last quarter, but the space has remained relatively stable over the last several weeks. People are starting to gain a more nuanced understanding of the long-term potential of blockchain technology," Viglione says. "It also helps that major investors are becoming more bullish...that bolsters the confidence of the retail investor."

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

hello, I have a question about ledger and secure nodes :

when I bought the ledger nano S it was recommended to not use it as a mining adress because it would have problem if too many transactions occured between two uses of the ledger. Would it be a problem with 6 secure nodes (in the future, this means 6 transactions a day) on a ledger that is not used often or do the problem occurs with way more tx than that?

thx
My advice is to use Arizen to hold the stakes and use its sweep feature to move earnings into the Ledger.

I also wanna know about that. In Whitepaper, it says Supernodes are scheduled to be released to main-net end of May, but do we get rewards from the beginning, or do we have some kind of test time, and get rewards from certain block? And is it open for everyone to build Supernodes from the beginning, or do we need to register something to start from the beginning?

Yeah good point. I'm a miner so would be good to know exactly when the rewards get changed from 88% block reward down to 70%.

I'm sure alot of the people mining between coins to whatever is most profitable will drop off when the block reward changes, thereby reducing difficulty and probably keeping current net reward levels roughly the same, but will still be interesting to know and see what happens.

Now total reward pool for node operators is 20% and this is main big change on our system. As you can see we have increased treasury to 10%, we are preparing our own treasury voting system, and the increase of 1.5% is for overcoming voters apathy, we are going to paying voters to vote. Those funds are reward for voters, because we want to provide positive initiatives for joining this ecosystem.
Details of the reward mechanism to voters will be released with more details of actual voting system which is in prototype mode IOHK right now.

Those changes are made as response to increasing popularity of secure nodes, and as result of multiple feedbacks from this system, and from community itself.

https://zencash.com/assets/files/Zen-Application-Platform-Whitepaper.pdf
In short the end of May. More info about this soon!

Don't worry about this decrease of miners reward, in a long run this will increase value of Zen because this new platform will enables more capabilities to be added and for node operators more opportunities to earn aditional income trought different services on this platform. You must admit this is really good proposison of a value.

Node operators are very important stakeholder group! Especially this new class of nodes recently announced as Super Nodes, enables ZenCash to become Platform instead crypto currency exclusively. Secure and Super nodes adds more value to this project.

Full implementation of this application system with Super Nodes is expected to be launched in Q4 of 2018 with a prototype available for testing at the end of Q3.

Any chance we'll ever see secure nodes on windows?
As far as I can tell, we will not be introducing this as an official approach, we need to keep the barrier to entry and quality of nodes relatively high, its an intentional choice.

Its all about performance of the network! Cool

From discord channel :

I get better share rates on my pool from dstm
bminer reports better hash rate
but what the pool sees is what matters

What is ZenCash (ZEN)?  -  Beginner’s Guide via Coincentral!

Quote
ZenCash is a true leader not only in privacy but with governance, economic incentives and sheer engineering ingenuity. Zen is the first ever Cryptocurrency to build in TLS. It protects not only the protocol but also the data packets sent between communications.

Their secure node system allows a low barrier to entry, passive income stream for node operators. They serve the network by enforcing strict privacy requirements, maintaining full histories, and encrypting network data.

Many people say, “when Lambo”… I say, when privacy? With initiatives like ZenCash, perhaps the answer is, now privacy.

A bit of offtopic here - did anyone here watched the film ZEN ?

A watched it a while ago but it can first to my mind - it's British film (3 series) with the main hero whose name is ZEN (Played by Rufus Sewell)

Please check this 30-second video and of course I recommend to watch the film in full.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLiWdHcj5hM

Actually, I think this might be use for marketing of ZenCash ) (I.e. part "My name is Zen") and why not to give some ZenCash to Rufus Sewell if he'll accept such present))

Is there anyone who offers a credible Zencash secure node hosting preferably with a long history and track record of good service? (For example, nodeshare.in masternode hosting service etc)
