It's debatable whether 'good news' will come specifically in December, January, or May 17th, 2019, at 3:28 pm. Really, there's no point in speculating. What is clear, though, is that NEO has a ton of cool projects in progress. Why don't we just agree that 'good news' will likely occur sometime in the future, without getting impatient about specific times?

See the following compilation of NEO activities for reference and reassurance:

Fully agree with you, just hold your NEO and accumulate your GAS guys! Thank you for the Links.

Now is rate 6.7%. If you hold 10 Neo you get 1.2 GAS per year. Price for GAS is now 20$ (it was also more than 35$)

For who don't know here you can calculate your GAS reward.

Thanks for your info. But I have one question. If I have neo in bittrex will i receive GAS in NEO? or need to store my neo in wallet Huh

no, i have neo since 6 months on bittrex, and no gas, you need to store in the NEO Wallet

What's the safest way to store my Neo and still get gas?

I've been leaving them on an exchange, but I have almost 50 now not collecting any Gas.

Bittrex does not currently give GAS rewards. However, Binance and Kucoin do give you GAS while you're still holding NEO on the exchange. There is speculation that Poloniex may eventually also give GAS rewards, since they already list GAS but not NEO, but for now that is only speculation.

In general I wouldn't recommend holding NEO on any exchange unless you either have very little or are day trading, but if you really want to then Binance and Kucoin are currently your only options.

We already have it, thanks to Ledger and a community member named coranos2. Currently only Nano S but Blue support is coming soon.

Thanks, just to confirm, this method does still collect Gas?

Yes. Hardware wallets are just a safer way to sign transactions offline. They don't alter the way the asset itself works. If you control the private key for your NEO (i.e., unlike on an exchange, where the exchange controls your private key and therefore collects your GAS unless they make specific arrangements to the contrary), then you can claim GAS. The process is explained in the previous link.

Having said that, remember that regardless of what kind of wallet you use, claiming GAS is an active process. You have to actually click 'claim'; they don't just appear in your wallet on their own. And yes, you can claim at any time; they simply stay at 'unclaimed' status until you claim them. You don't lose them if you don't claim them immediately, but of course you can't spend/transfer them either.

If you have control over the private keys for the wallet that contains NEO then you will collect GAS. It would be the same as if you had the keys on a paper wallet. So I assume it's the same if you have your NEO on a Ledger.

To be honest, the official is not that good to use and looks like a excel spreadsheet Smiley I like the NEON wallet better, especially the claim of gas is much easier there. But also the webwallet is nice.

I think Neon is the one I'm going for, for the time being.
