I agree, playing demo doesn't worth and I  can't personally enjoy game itself. Trying any new released slots with minimum bet size is better than doing demo rounds, imagine hitting max win but you didn't want to risk few dollars.

I think it is a controlled experiment to see how many people are playing from Canada and what games they might make available to them on that Server. If you look at the UK Server, you will see that only a limited amount of games are available.. so I think they want to do the same with Stake.ca  

The thing is..... most players are simply going to use VPNs and continue playing like they used to. It will get tricky, if they want to withdraw their funds after a big win on Slots that they are not supposed to play on.

The information you quoted should answer your question. It is required to oblige a regulation that applied on some country where the Stake userbase serves. The same move is also being done by another casino, I don't know further but looks like there is an update in regard to Canada's gambling regulation.

Stake has done it for the gambling laws of Ontario. Perhaps, people of Canada will be able to bet on Stake.com who doesn't live in Ontario province. Ontario has applied a gambling law in the April month of this year. Betting site need to go through AGCO’s registration process to continue their services for those people who live in Ontario. Drake is also a resident of Ontario province. I think Stake will allow Drake to place bet on the main site when he will travel to the other province of Canada. The announcement says this

Ontario Changes
On Sunday at midnight Toronto (EDT) time, Stake.com will become unavailable to customers who are currently located from an IP address in the region of Ontario, Canada.
Whilst located in Ontario, you will no longer be able to bet, deposit or register. You will however be able to perform all other actions such as withdraw & claim bonuses.

Stake didn't mention that they will discontinue the services for all Ontario residents. Maybe this rule will be applied to those people who are physically located in Ontario.

Slot not just about the demo.

You should understand RTP & Volatility + how the slot work, most likely like PlayNGo and Pragmatic Play based on my experience average hitting bonus in normal situation around 100-120 spin. Plinko is my favorite game, just turn on instant bet and spam plinko balls untill you hit something nice multiplier. Basically, you have to overwork to make it happen and that’s the tough challenge. I always say that stake needs to fix their situation, it’s a good wbesite but needs a lot better VPN friendly approach to their casino, it would really bring in a lot of people.

I think you need to try different country in order to make the VPN compatible to the stake site you are connecting.  Trying different paid vpn also may work, I think you can try their trail version first if there is any.

If you don't want to use TOR either because of it not always working with the site or for your own personal reasons, there are cheap VPNs that are compatible with most browsers and will allow you to connect to Stake.  One such example is Browsec, which is free and will allow you to connect from a country of your choosing.  It's a browser add-on, so it's rather simple to install and use.  I think besides it being slow, it is a very nice option for searching the internet with some privacy.  Give it a try if you've been having frustrations using TOR with Stake.  You might find that it's the solution you've been looking for.

@tokeweed which browser were you accessing the site from and was it updated to the latest version, and did you try another browser too because it clearly looks like a cache issue so trying a new browser or clearing your old data should fix it for you.

That is literally the way people do right now. The joke as old as time itself is the fact that eddie is playing from Australia which is not allowed in stake itself lol. So if you think that people will not do the same, when the owner himself doesn't follow his own rules, then you are too naive .

Canada could be blocked, but you will just pop up a vpn and then start gambling here. That type of "rules" are usually there for legal reasons and not for what stake wants. They are forced to say you are not allowed, but you are secretly very well allowed and that's how you would get in, just like how eddie does. That's why there is no problems with the current vpn situation for anyone.
