... We're stuck between making it as easy as possible for new players to get started on the site (easy to make an account, free dust from the faucet) and making it hard for spammers/bots to abuse the system. I don't see a way of satisfying both of these requirements without human intervention (ie. intelligent mods).
WE ? WE? who are the we that you're referring to with? i can only see is you lol We, as in people who would like to provide a faucet on a site but can't find a way of doing so without it being botted or abused in other ways. I used to run a couple of dice sites. I would have liked to have been able to automatically give new users a few bits to play with, but couldn't see how to do it reasonably.

Seperate the play money from actual BTC, crediting users 10-100 play money and allow them to test the site. If they like the features, they will naturally deposit bitcoin. This however, don't attract as much people as the one who credit real BTC and allow them to withdraw as they can test out withdrawal feature without risking any BTC.

You can implement something like... if someone have more than 10 mute from users, get 8 hours chat muted, with more than 20, 12 hours muted, and with more than 30 permanent muted... and maybe ban for people who abuse this, or some rules like only mutes from accounts with lvl 10 or more count. And you don't need more mods Like so many of the suggestions in this thread, you're forgetting that it's free to create a new account. People can easily switch IP addresses, so there's no way of banning people. We're stuck between making it as easy as possible for new players to get started on the site (easy to make an account, free dust from the faucet) and making it hard for spammers/bots to abuse the system. I don't see a way of satisfying both of these requirements without human intervention (ie. intelligent mods). People seems to forget that we already basically don't need mods on PD. We have /ignore command. So anytime u see somebody spamming just use /ignore username and u are done with him. Let everybody else know they can do that and that's it. Here list of pd chat commands: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=208986.msg8349172#msg8349172

You mute them, then it gets confusing when other people who didn't mute them looks like they're talking to nobody. Sure the insta-spammers are easy to mute and move on, but I've taken to not muting other regular chatters just to avoid the confusion it may cause.

What do u guys think about Primedice teacups ? I made couple of them that i will giveaway when i also get t-shirts ready . Why i made this? Well its good question . I wanted to promote bitcoin here in Serbia , and when i start talking about it, people look at me like "wtf u talking about , its so complicated nobody will ever use it" so then i tell them how easy is to gamble with bitcoin . U just make account without any of ur personal info, without waiting for confirmation, giving them ur ID, SSN , and proof of address. And then u deposit bitcoin, its there in about 10 min, u can play , and when u are done u cashout and its instant. . Then they say , ooh that's soo cool ! So i decided to promote bitcoin gambling , it gets people much more interested and then they learn about bitcoin just what they need to know. LOL . I will giveaway that teacups and t-shirts mostly here in Serbia coz shipping worldwide would cost to much.

You have the annoying popups happening when you hover the mouse over the payout field. I thought those went away quite a while ago. Is it an old video? Or did the popups come back? Edit: also it's "PROVE-ably fair", not "probably fair". Two quite different things. And "txid" is "transaction ID", not "tax ID". Other than that, nice work on the video.

IS anyone else experiencing issues with the Progressive capcha? Every time it loads, it says "Click here to see the capcha", if I click on it, it just goes away and I have to wait a few minutes for a different capcha to load.

Thanks for the feedback dooglus! We gave a Bitcoin Talk user some BTC's to play at a few Casinos and we recorded him trying a few different things. I really like how it is probably what most new gamblers are like when playing at these sites (like how he gets an emotional buzz when he wins, he checks the deposit and withdraw system, and points out things that he likes or annoys him - very interesting). The probably fair thing cracks me up every time I hear it, I realize it is prove-ably fair but maybe after Dicebitco.in probably is the right word there

Pro Tip: When the Progressive captcha pops up, don't even click "Play," just type in 'Switch to Progressive' That is the right one 9 times out of 10, and if not that then other times it's: 'Switch and save' 'Name your price' and maybe one other. Obviously without the ' ' I put. Source: I filled out like a million of those when testing changes to my faucet. Needless to say I don't find "Flo" to be so cute or funny anymore.
