Feking AMD. What kind of clowns release a blockchain driver that doesn't work with the most common blockchain mining applications? Fools.

I heard Aug 11 drivers + Trixx work for undervolt. Anyone else confirming this?

Give them a break, at least they are trying to help out miners which is more than they have ever done up until this point.

You also need to realize they are balancing dual priorities, on the one hand trying to help out miners with more performance, but at the same time they need to make sure their cards are operated within acceptable tolerance as to not cause extra support calls or even RMAs due to outright failures.

In the meantime other coins have become more profitable than ETH to mine, so getting Wattool to work with this matters less...  ETH seems to be dropping out of the best coins to mine pretty rapidly.

I would modify all my cards bios for the Eth settings, but with other coins being more profitable I cant justify the time to do that until Eth is more profitabke again, which may never happen...

on one rig, this driver restored the full hashrate (25 -> 27.8 ). On the second rig, it restored much less (25 -> 26.8 ).

One has windows 10, the other windows 10 creators edition.

Edit: nevermind. Claymore miner cannot set nor read clocks/fans/voltages for this driver.  Clocks were lower.

Am I the only one mining still without the fix? I couldnt get it to work and had some success undervolting my cards thru the bios. I wish their was a more simple guide how to tune these rx 4xx cards thru batch. AB didn't work for me and watt tool obviously shows me 0s. So I'm running at 25mhs currently on my 2 rigs without the fix Sad

Claymore released new miner. It's not ideal, but it should help.

Yes, try Claymore v10.0 miner. Use -mvddc to set memory voltage and -cvddc to set core voltage.

Yes, it does.
Download drivers -> Uninstall previous version drivers via DDU in Safe mode -> Install Blockchain Drivers normally using GUI -> Patch drivers using AMD Pixel clock patcher -> Restart.

SGMINER mines fine I just discovered. Switching back to Claymore now to see if it crashes again.

i install on win7 before that ddu.
apply atikmdag patch.
reboot.
before going into windows, screen is black, and that's it.

With the newest driver 17.11.2 the problem is still there, is there any workaround?

Install Blockchain drivers and there will be no problem. The only "catch" is, that they only work on win10 Wink

try to install driver from device manager, and located the file amd driver for dag issue... and then patch atikmdag maybe it can solved the problem...

RX 480 + RX 580 + RX 570 here.

Newest AMD drivers do have equal performance to August blockchain drivers, but they aren't stable on my rig. Claymore's crashes often, even Firefox crashes, for god's sake.

Reverting to August drivers fixed it. Never had an issue with them.

Is there a dag fix for windows 8.1? All these drivers are for 10 and 7...no support for 8.1? Why?

It’s gold for nerds
