The chain can not be hacked, since it is necessary to have more than half the power of the miners. And this is impossible, because every day the complexity increases. But bitcoin is not safe from the point of view of tracking operations - this is its main disadvantage

Yes I agree on you. For me too bitcoin can really secure future lives the way it continues to increase it price. It depends on how hard you work in here and how you will do your best to gain lot in here. If you believe bitcoin on how it really works then bitcoin will give you much you want. We must trust bitcoin and believe in ourselves the way we do.

Many people said BTC is secured. My friend, nothing is secured in the earth. You have take risks & gain things that you like. As a proverb goes "no risk, no gain"

After the incident with MTBox nobody could be sure in security their Bitcoin savings. There is some risk exist anyway. But it is worth it. If you don’t want to take risk you couldn’t to earn the money.

Bitcoin is really secure if you are protecting and securing all your accounts, especially in your wallet because this need to have password or address that is very important that you need to remember or else you will have nothing. You need to be aware of hackers because they are wise in handling us. For example, you can list your all emails and passwords so that you have a copy on that. And I will be happy if this suggestion will be appreciated by everyone.

Bitcoin's security is superb and as good as it gets today, at the end of 2017.  However, quantum computing is a threat and we really don't expect when it will become viable.  At that time, Bitcoin will need a new security layer to be protected from quantum attacks, or another currency will need to replace it.

The boss of JP Morgan was unequivocal about bitcoin at a recent conference in New York: the digital currency was only fit for drug dealers and would eventually blow up. “[It] isn’t going to work,” said Jamie Dimon. “You can’t have a business where people can invent a currency out of thin air and think that the people who are buying it are really smart.”

A few days after Dimon’s comments, the value of bitcoin plunged when the Chinese authorities announced a crackdown on it. It has been an eventful month, even in the context of a currency that is less than a decade old. Since the start of the year the value of a single bitcoin has gone from $1,000 (£750) to almost $5,000.

The spiralling price of the cryptocurrency, along with the controversy it has attracted in the past few weeks, has meant that interest from buyers has peaked and more consumers are considering whether to invest – or gamble, as some commentators say – in it.

I think bitcoin security depends on you,i mean there are many wallets that you can use for your BTC security.
For now it is really secure if you don't disclose your password to anyone.so you don't to be worry about security of your BTC.

Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers

One. Bitcoin is not like your facebook account which leaves traces of information every clicked so it is really secured. Two. A simple explanation: bitcoin is programmed securedly and it operates by its own meaning it's not like your typical online banking. Three. Bitcoin is decentralised meaning no governing body can regulate or intervent in the system.

Yes bitcoin is really secure. no one can steal bitcoin, except for our own carelessness. Smiley
The government can not be that easy to ban bitcoin transactions, because bitcoin is the future.

Yes bitcoin is future technology which will always survive.
Bitcoin is really secure. Nobody can hack bitcoin itself. The only thing you have to aware, keep your wallet safe because wallet will not safe if you not care.

Well if we talk about security bitcoin is always secured and safe. Also it matters how user used it well. In terms of stealing, investing, trading or etc.  It always secure here in bitcoin because people desserve their own progress and if people won't  make progress will maybe its about how they bring it on.

Yes! I'am very confident to say that bitcoins is very secured. Just keep in mind that bitcoins can be steal like a fiat if you are not careful with your choice. To avoid choose the best bitcoins wallet do you think that it cannot steal your wallet and "think before you click" this is the best way to secured your money from loss.
