lol network hashrate now = 10 x network hashrate a few hours ago
Yeah this is not that good actually since the coin diff does not retarget like dgc and wdc. If price drops and miners leave this coin will suffer the same fate as cnc and ftc. That has been my main worry from the outset. I hope this will not kill this coin too. Don't worry developers won't let it die like FTC and CNC. They have done a lot hard work. Yes they are great devs for websites and such, however it seems repairing a coin is different even the guy from FTC who is a super boffin at this stuff from oxford can't fix feathercoins problems and that was a massive coin after a couple of weeks. I asked these diff retarget questions at the begining and nobody answered. Now we will find out what happens. Lets hope the price keeps climbing or we could soon find out. I like pxc more than all the rest, but people dont like to wait 2-3 days to transfer coins like with cnc and ftc. IYou guys are comedy gold. feel like I need to take 2 showers after spending just 5 minutes in this forum sometimes. Feathercoin is doing just fine with the hard fork adjustments: https://www.feathercoin.com/netstats/Now, back to PhenixCoin: Congrats, the FTC community wishes everyone involved with this coin continued success. I like ftc and stil hold quite a bit. However the retarget practially killed it let's be honest. It was a huge coin once in terms of hash. Now 200mh that's not good. It inspired coins like wdc and dgc to incorp way better ways of retarget. FTC and CNC were slapped hard when the miners left and people could not move their coins and the panic drove the price further down making it even less profitable to mine. There is no reason this will not happen to pxc. Bushstar fixed ftc however it will take months to get back to where it was before and could have been a way more successful coin if the retarget was done differently. FTC will survive based on the community and the dev however cnc is basically dead. All i am saying is watch out, with profit at 300% miners will drive dif way up which is worrying i think with such a slow retarget. I mean LTC is held in high regard so there are always those mining it as it is seen as pretty much coin2 after bitcoin. I am pro FTC and PXC along with wdc and dgc however nobody likes to wait hours / days to move coins. So i hope pxc will be fixed up like ftc but before there is such a problem with sending coins.

You are right developers will need to be fast to retarget the difficulty. Or people will loose faith. And I think developers will be fast for this kind of situation.

Hey there justabit! Haha, yea it gets to me how people keep mentioning how FTC failed when it didn't and there are so many other coins that actually ARE failing. Other than the Feathercoin forums, I just limit myself to the Phenixcoin thread here on bitcointalk to limit my exposure to unnecessary coin bashing lol. If only they had a forum to follow updates but for now it's just this thread. I thank you for your blessings on behalf of everyone here! (see you in our forums) A forum for Phenix is the last thing we want.. lol. I would never get any work done.. But John and I were were talking about setting up a news letter system, people could subscribe to for updates.. Let me know if that is something that would interest you guys.. M.

Definitely, way too many threads to sift through haha. And if it didn't take much to do so, then yea, that would be great! It's easy to miss updates when there's so many pages in the thread. Hopefully the hashrate won't affect too much. It's not THAT big, so the diff spike shouldn't be too much. Plus the spike might slow things down a bit. Either way, your releases over the next few days should encourage the price to be a little stable and keep some extra people mining with the little jump in difficulty.

Anyone having issues mining at http://pxc.allpoolz.com ? I have put 3.7Mh on the site, but it has been listing my hash rate at 1.1-1.3 for the last 15+ minutes.
