I wanted to try the new version of XMR-STAK-2.0, but it looks like the dev fee was increased from 1% to 1,5%?

Yes, it is. You can build it without dev fee. Official dev fee is 2%.

Depends on diff, on some pools you can set diff and some have only variable diff.

How do I set config.txt if I have 4 RX cards and just one Vega and just want to use the Vega?  I assume gpu_thread_num should be set to 1 and index should be set to what I think the index should be (in my case 4)?

I can't get it working with any index value though.

Yes thread is 1, but index might be 0, 1, 2, 3, not 4.

Hello,

I've been experimenting with Monero mining recently (STAK miner on Win10 Pro/Edu) and I'm facing kind of a weird issue; I tried on 2 laptops, a 5-6 years old one with an i7-3630QM + GT 635M, and a new one with i7-7700HQ + GTX 950M.
The GPUs scale as they should the GTX 950M gives me more than double the hashrate of the GT 635M.
But the CPUs don't! the 3630QM maxes out at ~180 H/s with 3 threads and large page support, while the i7-7700HQ barely touches 120 H/s + it doesn't scale beyond 2 threads and large page support doesn't help much either!

So, any ideas or tips?

UPDATE: Never mind, seems like it was a drivers issue, and now it is at least on par with the old one.

Thanks for the awesome guide on mining coins. Just started mining SumoKoins recently. Your guide was all i needed to setup the miner.

However, as a newbie there is one thing i cannot understand. How are koins / coins distributed to the pool? I keep finding a lot of new blocks. However, i don't seem to be getting the sumos to match it. I am probably missing something - but though should ask and learn.

thanks for your help in advance. and apologize if this is a stupid question.

Hash rate around 400-500 H/s. Using the official pool which has around 650 miners. I got like 3.2 coins over the first 24 hours of mining (which is about the rate which the official pool calculator shows up)
But am a little confused about the "New Block detected" messages.

That's a new block detected by the network if I'm not mistaken, not necessarily by you. The hashrate and accepted results is what matters.

I know that this is probably not the right thread to post this, but I am sure I found some blocks with mining sumokoin. I found a share with a difficulty above 1G at least two times, where the difficulty is about 500-700M. I also see in the small mining pool I use that a new block has been found in the period these 1G+ shares were found. However, sgminer won't show anything about the found blocks. It stays at 0 blocks found.

Is this something that I have to configure in the config, is it a bug, or is it something related to sumokoin?
