To be honest, yes I am waiting for prices to go down so I can finally buy. Actually I have some fiat sitting on the exchange and waiting to be converted to Bitcoin for over 2! months now. I was too greedy back then and always thought that price will drop again, but it just kept rising. Now I will be happy to even be able to buy at $9,000.

As for the question of OP, I think it depends on the strategy one is pursuing. If you are long term holding, like I am, its best to just suffer the losses and stay in, and wait for the market to recover. That has worked fine for me so far.

Simply hedge into consistently stable coins/tokens. For example; qwark.
When the price starts to fall beats a little despair, so many analysts say that 20% and luck and 80% and psychological. As you are investing in noble currencies and normal that the price of it falls a little, but you can be sure that after the fall it returns to appreciate.

Remember when the BTC went from 8 thousand dollars to 6? Many people became desperate to sell the coin, shortly after it came back with full force and today is already in the house of 11 thousand dollars.

That's the best way to do, just wait until the price gets high. When it gets low, it will not stay low; it will increase sooner or later so you must have patience before you get a high profit. Holding Bitcoin even though the price decreases is a sign of being patient.

If you have some bitcoin and other altcoin what you should do when their market value is declining is to hold pending when it's value appreciate before you sell. And if you have some money at that point of down turn is the best time to buy more of the coins that has growth potential like bitcoin and hold there value appreciate again.

If the price are falling and you are losing value by the day on your altcoin , it will be good to average down (provided you are holding good alt) you may schedule your buying in batches.

Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).

If the prices are falling it is better to hold it because yhe chances of getting good profit is very high we can see that at the market performance. Many investors who are already used to it and they just hold it until it recovers it.

When the prices are falling, I tend to hold my coins unless the con has no future and was just low cap and pump and dump coin. In such case, I sell at loss.

Whenever the price are falling i just stay calm and do not panic because panicking is just gonna ruined your decision and strategies in this business. Because some people when they see the bitcoins that are falling for example they are starting to get panic and sell all their bitcoins to lessen the fall but they do not knew that the price will come back again just a few weeks sfter that fall. They do not have a lot od patience to hold in and that is a bad thing.

You should understand that a coin will have fluctuations in the candlestick so the increase or decrease is very normal. You can sell a hole if you feel your coin is not holding well, but if the coin is good then you can hold it and wait for it to rise.

As l've read about this when prices are falling it's good to buy coins and hold it. Until price is right for you to sold it. But if you have extra money, it's better to hold this time because the coming price of bitcoin is very expensive. I want also to be a part of $100000 cost of bitcoin. By that time I can do all my goals and plan in my life, that first thing is to invest a business and used my money to help my church for mission,to preach the gospel to all nations.Bitcoin is the future we hope for. Accept bitcoin in your life and you have the Chance to have the benefit of bitcoin.

I think trading with bitcoin, you should buy when bitcoin costs are low, simply because if you buy when he p is higher you will get just a little profiteticr

You only have one thing to do, it is to hold your coins, whatever coins it is if the price is falling, because if you are going to panic and going to start that you could lose even more profits if you are not going to sell it, then, stop doing trading. Trading is all about patient, mostly if there are whales that causing the prices of tokens down. Trading is not all about having profits all of the time, sometimes it is about hodling your tokens, ignoring the prices going down and waiting for another PUMP, then sell.

Well i had made into the last 2 weeks a very risky transactions, i went into some altcoin when bitcoin were around 9000 dollars, and well soo far the investment i had made hasnt been able to ROI, im holding it and without any rush to sell the coins at loss, im pretty sure the coin will be pumped into bigger levels, and i dont need to rush to sell the coins for now, but Nasdaq does makes me get worry since im expecting a bigger bitcoin value, wich would mean i wont be able to recover mine investment soo easy.

For me when prices are falling i will keep o holding because i believe after it fall down it will certainly go back climbing and i will buy more bitcoins because it is ideal time for buying so that when it will go up again i could have more earnings from my bitcoins or even it could make me rich if happens

wow u know it since 2015 and just bought in 2017?
if u are a long term trader just leave it be , if u are a day trader , trade with just some part of ur bitcoin not all of it , please take some risk!
hope u get wealthy
Noting to do when the price go down because its normal and it can happen any time any place and its not will be the first time to happen in past it happen so many time so we need to just focus on our work because bitcoin is such a currency which change its price in a short time from low to high so no need to make panic our little wait can help us and if we make panic then we can lose money so our small mistake can take us back.

What I usually do if prices are falling most specially if the coins are very low, I would buy more coins from a much lower price and your total amount of couns would then be divided; the result would be lesser losses. Read or research on google about books or ebooks on trading.
Absolutely right. That is what i always do and That is why i don't stick to only just 1 coin. Although bitcoins will always be my priority but i do have altcoins aswell though i am very choosy in buying altcoins. Because most of the time when bitcoins are falling, altcoins will be increasing so That my trading would be balance.
