It's good idea because with Bitcoin we can practically pay for it. If paying with cash is very complicated especially if we pay with more money but the driver does not have change money.

This is also a big problem faced when ever hiring the taxi as they wont keep change and always we have to pay high due to this problem, so this problem will also get solved by paying through digital currency.

i usually use taxi to go to company  . that is really good idea  for user use bitcoin .
now bitcoin is popular , i don't know when bitcoin use for taxi

i think it is not good idea  . because the bitcoin price is up and down .
that is really good for the taxi driver  . they will lose if bitcoin is down

I think that opportunity is very possible because nowadays there are many usage of application based taxi which can be used as bitcoin payment where the users make payment in cashless

The calculation is not gonna be easy i guess? And there is a need for quick and direct payment to the drivers immediately. It is in the near future that all these may work out just fine. By then BTC value is going to be worth a lot.

I think it can happen in the next 5 years. Because bitcoin rapidly expanding its influence globally. For example in my country we have some grocery stores here that accept bitcoin as transaction and even some Malls accept bitcoin.

Yes this could be the better one in the crypto market.If taxi's started accepted bitcoin then the market cap of crypto will increase.Not only taxi's I think bitcoin should be used everywhere like e-commerce, hotels, travels.But imagine if uber and ola start accepting bitcoin then what happens.

It's a great idea, but it's too early to talk about it. In bitcoins, real the prospects will bring you revenue in the future, and I would not advise spending it on such small expenses as paying a taxi or food. Bitcoin is capable of more;)

Not bad idea, how I heared in this year in Estonia(Tallin), they made first taxi with the possibility of calculations in bitcoins, this is just the beginning of the bitcoin evolution, some countries else was tried to do that, but still zero progress, just need time for that.

the current issue with small purchases seems to be bitcoin fees, but if you are going long rides then why not.

This is a good idea but with the fees right now i think it is not smart to pay a small amount with bitcoin. Also i hope they would accept other crypto currency like ethereum or litecoin. 

If i were an taxi owner or an uber driver i'll be happy if they pay me via bitcoin or other altcoins that i like.

If the transaction in sending bitcoin will become more easy and very fast then it will be the right time to give bitcoin another use like what you are dreaming of paying taxi using bitcoin.

I our country, i never heard about this but will be happy if this idea may happen for it will make things easy for me. Sometimes it is hard to bring some extra money for anything can happen. Criminals are spreading all over the world in an instance your money can be taken away that easy.

This is actually a good idea. BTC as payment for taxi uber or grab. I think this will be the next step for BTC to be used as payment for our daily lives. I hope it can be as payment on supermarkets too. Carrying bitcoin is safe because it is not cash. especially nowadays where some taxi drivers are  holding up their  passenger. If you dont have to carry cash around and use only bitcoin to pay that would be great.

I like this idea. But maybe it's also a disadvantage, especially in bitcoin's transaction fees. The transaction fees now is huge. Hopefully if there is a taxi that the charge is bitcoin, they may consider this transaction fee. Or just buy your own car instead.
