This is an excellent idea. Very safe for both the customer and the taxi driver. But my concern is that how would they file taxes for the income earned? But other than a very nice method to pay for taxi services. There are several cryptocurrency debit cards available, so I guess one can use such a card to pay for the services.

I would be more inclined to drive for Uber or Lyft if I could be paid in BTC. That would really drive the appeal. I know it wouldn't be often, but the option to be paid in such a way would be beneficial in the long term.

I think that is good if the bitcoin will be legalize in our country so that the services to pay is very easy.bitcoin is very useful if that will be legalize because many persons like a taxi because we can fast our travel that where we go and i think there a big chance to become legalize that if the government adopt the bitcoin.

i usually use taxi to go to company  . that is really good idea  for user use bitcoin .

It's a good idea. The more accepted is Bitcoin the lighter you can move using only your smart phone.

Won't it be a waste of time to make payment with bitcoin to taxi services. Even the cost of network transaction fees might even be bigger than the taxi fair itself

Physical money or fiat is much more convenient to use as a form of payment for taxi and other businesses firm as you can just hand the money over and the transaction is finished unlike in bitcoin, you need to wait for confirmations from the bitcoin network in order for the transaction finished or transferred. For now we can't actually used it for our daily lives but in the near future they can implement some upgrades and additional feature in the blockchain.

The amount is so low that a taxi driver may be happy just to see a transaction on a blockchain (and let us leave his taxi), not waiting for a confirmation (or 6 confirmations, for that matter).

Of course, this is leaving aside the problem of high fees and long confirmation times, which is very problematic: I used to have a transaction or two waiting for weeks in an unconfirmed state because of low fees. So the driver may not see a happy ending to his transaction after just seeing it on a blockchain, after all. If it happens once or twice, no problem. But if it happens every time - he will soon drop bitcoin from his list of accepted payment methods.

The concept is very good hopefully there is an entrepreneur or transportation service provider company can develop their payment method by receiving bitcoin to be one of the means of payment of their transpotation services.

This would be a good idea since many people are always taxi as there means of  transportation. Maybe this idea will eventually come to reality since every now and then the technology is improving

yes i hope so that taxi will accept bitcoin for the payment, or maybe not taxi because its too complicated, how about uber, if we can use bitcoin to topup uber credits with bitcoin will very helpful right? if the bitcoin is used in real life i believe that bitcoin price will more stable than before because it used by many people

why do not you exchanged BTC into FIAT currency then you pay to taxi driver?
the majority of taxi drivers are unaware of the technology, unless the company provides training to the driver

I think it depend on bitcoin is legalized in your country or not. If it's legalized I think every services in your country will accept bitcoin for payment soon . Beside in few countries Uber is accepting bitcoin for payment

Now not only hotels and restaurants are receiving payments via bitcoin but taxis can also be just some countries that can receive payments using bitcoin with Bitcoin users can also pay non-cash services using bitcoin.

if so all taxi must know the currency of Cryptocurrency and how to exchange and taxi company also have to approve the payment with currency Cryptocurrency because there are still many people who do not know the existence of currency Cryptocurrency and it is a matter of time alone may in future taxi can be paid with Cryptocurrency currency or bitcoin

Rome taxi accepts bitcoin already. I think Blockchain technology creates an evaluation in local transport system.

it was a good idea tho but how ever it will not click or attract all of the commuter because they are not all crypto user and now we have a card for commuter can pay trains and bus, it also need a proper testing and trial for this idea.

In the world are many establishments that accept bitcoin as method of payment.
But I don't think that Bitcoin is the best concurrency because of high transaction fees.
