There is few application available in playstore for mining with mobile.
But Mining with smartphone is very difficult and not profitable.
Hash power is very low on smartphone.
And really to say it is pretty much impractical too.

If it's to mine existing currency like ethereum and bitcoin, it's a non-starter. If it's to have a new coin just for mobile then perhaps yes but really on mobile, POW should be proof of (human) work which is more efficient than mobile CPU pow.

Would you be interested in a cryptocurrency with its own blockchain that can easily be mined on both android and iOS phones?

thats cool if they can do it , so that all people can easily mine using just a mobile phone but if that happen i dont think you can earn much profit on it due to the fact that mobile phones are less powerfull compare to pc or an actual mining hardware , and i see that mining today  is now harder and the diffuclty has increased.

True if they will dedicate to this coin and solely develope it for smartphones maybe there is a chance that it will be profitable. No idea i worth nothing. Just heard of "proof of concept privacy" it connects all blockchain together. Great idea right. Hope they succeed. For this try maybe the idea of proofs Cheesy proof of existence? Who knows..

if its profitable then i ll buy the best mobile phone avaliable on the market, but i dont think so.
the only way to do it is to allow only mobile riggers mine coins but what ll be the profit for the project? Grin

Mining on a mobile phone is a great idea. Imagine all the power you could get from all the phones in the world.
Maybe we will see mining on smart tvs in two years Grin

Sure it could, but it wouldn't be worth doing so. mining bitcoin using an Android device will cost you more than what you spend in terms of power, battery life etc. ARM processors used in Android phones generally do not generate enough hash rate to even get registered on the mining pool.

I already invested in Electroneum and I am really excited about this coin.

This is a good project no doubt about it and definitely It has a good potential to be an awesome coin.

Right now I am also interested on how they can make their app work and also how long the app would be working. That's the only thing i was not able to find in my research about this coin but everything else sounds awesome.

I think mining on a mobile phone with the technology right now is a very far fetched idea. The computing power in very low for mining standards and the power needed will make it probably even costly to mine. However if something changes drastically on the mobile technology it will prove a great investment  to put some money into it right now.

I guess mining on mobile phone is totally a good way to create a smartest and easiest way to exchange currency with the help of ethereum and bitcoin. It will also show how your investment grow slowly. Despite having battery drain from mobile phones,it will be worth it at the end of the day. I think this will still be profitable. There are many ways also on how to keep your battery alive for many hours just like what I do everyday, I don't turn on my social accounts and other browsers so that my battery won't drain fast so my mining still works well on my phone.

I think you will got nothing if you mining with mobile phone because the specification is not recommended and that could blow your phone. If you want to mining you could use GPU the price is lowest than bitcoin mining hardware.

As long as the coin I am mining is in the market, it can generate something very substantial for me even with its present value without crashing my phone, I see no reason why I would not.

However, I do not see the possibility of this yet even though I cannot predict what tomorrow's advanced technology will bring with it, but I do not see how this kind of coin can easily thrive or it may just end up being worthless if you can just mine a huge amount of it converted into reasonable amount of fiat.

I think mining in mobile is very much difficult

It needs high end processors to do that.
