You should never put into cryptos what you can't afford to lose. I do feel sorry for you if you're not joking. The dev fucked up the smart contract (maybe intentionally), dumped and did a runner. Your money is gone, sorry.

I wouldn't be surprised if he serves jail time for this, this is on a par with crypsy or Mt.Gox level scam.

I am going to book mark this and check it again later. I picked up an eth just now. It may drop or it might recover with bounds.The end of the day with the dev gone we are at a point that this project can take off. Kind of like Verge as a community we are going to be what moves this forward not the dev.

Maybe this is a gem in the making and the entry point is unparalleled to anything before. Trade with confidence.

Hoping for this, sometimes its the community that helps the coin to be successful. I'm just disappointed to dev on what they do with eBTC it has so much potential

When I sold it for 350$ I thought how idiot I am that selling at such low price. Now I realize that the really idiotic thing was buying this crap again. Bs anyway I will keep cursing myself for few days for this mistake.

The issue is...grow value and dev will make new coins from his contract.
I would overtake the coin...but I'm Not sure if a token swap without dev is working

Burned by EBTC and HEXTRACoin, wow, this is a real red October for me, glad I didn't put to much in neither project.  WOW just WOW!!!

From now on, if they don't have a real application, that is up and running right now at this moment that makes money, I will no longer be supporting ICOs or even Dream Projects like this.

Was definitely a good concept but one built on a scam.
Well you live and you learn and thank God I have most my crypto investment in BTC and NEO and ETH.

He did delete the eBTC site, it won't help him though, Ethereum's not anonymous, the feds will come a'knockin' if they want him bad enough.

Guys, there is no reason for another developer to come in and taint themselves with this coin.  We were told the code for eBTC was irreparable when the price of the airdrop was steady at $1,000.  

From the start, there was nothing special about "Bitcoin on the Ethereum network", its really just a clone of the Ethereum token with 21 million coins.  

The only positive about this coin was the name but even that has been tainted to the point of no return.  

We were duped.  It may go up a little in the near future but the end result is a market cap of zero dollars.  With that, make your exit plans.

At 5:44:14am PST this morning, the eBTC community was blindsided from what seemed to be a hack. Our founder, Satoshi21 first deleted himself from the eBTC team chat. Then systematically deleted eBTC's Medium post, our website, and Twitter. While we believe this to be completely out of character for Satoshi21, we also need to believe that we are under attack and there is a minute possibility that it was all planned from the onset. As such, we, the eBTC team is mobilizing to figure out which plan of action would be best for our community and how to regain trust.

As a team we were in the late stages of finalizing and paying 32eth (from the team's collective pockets) for a swap of all tokens through Merkator (spelling), to close the origin wallet infinite coin vulnerability. Unfortunately, Satoshi21 was the only one with access. Since we cannot gain entry, we need to create an entirely new contract/product.

Seeing this unfortunate chain of events, our team, which is intact believes we can create an entirely new product and add benefit to current tokens holders. It's perfectly natural to panic and we were too, until we figured as a team, we can do something to protect our community.

Yeah, there's no reason to trust the project after what happened, but those in the community who still believe in our team and community--hold on tight. We plan to make it right, but it's going to take some time. Please be patient with us as we go where no token project has gone before. We will continue to update as necessary.

There is a group forming new telegram group gathering info, of the people who invested, one of them has contacted lawyer who made contact to satoshi@ebtc.io they will track him down via official request by mew and twitter
