Would have been much better off just leaving everything in bitcoin. Altcoins suck.
Means you didn't do enough research and gambled instead of investing. My portfolio has outperformed Bitcoin by an order of magnitude and I didn't even rebalance during dips and peaks.
You obviously didn't read anything I wrote.
"Would have been much better off just leaving everything in bitcoin. Altcoins suck."

I stand uncorrected. You gambled instead of investing. Most of my holdings are in altcoins and they appreciated an order of magnitude stronger than the Bitcoin price has. Do more research and Bitcoin won't be outperforming you.

I really know that feelings Grin and it sucks truly but it is just how the market is. They are taking the plunge as the boss is climbing up the ladder, they just had to take a bow.
Do not worry the boss will soon go to bed to relax soon once tired and the market will be back to normal and then we will start seeing some of the little kids jumping around again, pumping up .... I hope you understand perfectly all I just said. Grin

I have also experience the same frustration several times. But it is normal. Sometimes your decision which coin to buy, or whether to stick with Bitcoin or invest in altcoins, is wrong. That is very common because we simply cannot predict with 100% accuracy what will happen to crypto prices. However, we just have to react rationally to what is happening so that we will still end up gaining.

At first I thought altcoin was a bonus, but I started getting hooked when I was involved with using a lot of coins and just using bitcoin as a final conversion, very annoying when altcoin continues to be red, but very profitable to continue trading on a regular basis. The right strategy by trading altcoin in large quantities.

why would someone buy altcoins if he is not a trader nor a cryptocurrency expert? Wise guy has to analyse the market and knows when he should buy bitcoin, or when he should buy a specific altcoin. Of course every man can not do this properly but a wise does not cry when he loses money because of his own incorrect analysis.

I bought some Bitcoin Cash as it is supported by miners. But the EDA is killing it now.
I wonder why anyone would buy BCC before the pump when it was pretty obvious the market was hugely pumped which clearly was not by the community but by whales supporting it just to see how it goes. Guys like you however has decided to give them some free gifts.

You can still hold though but I learnt my lessons the first pump just to stay away from that market for now until I see some good sign for it.

I am going to be blunt with you all. Unfortunately, noobs (this happens every single time Bitcoin reaches new all time highs and an influx of new user enter the economy) do not heed the warnings of experienced cryptocurrency market participants like me.

I assume most of you are heavily invested in highly risky and volatile ICOs, most if which were doomed to fail from the start (if not outright scams). The cryptocurrency community has already lived through many crap clone coins and IPOs (aka. ICOs) before the ICO craze started. The market is playing out exactly how the crap clone coins and IPO flood played out. Do your research. ICOs are an old type of scam in the crypto world. Sure, some may be successful, but most (probably 96%+) will fail.

Ive once become a victim of a certain altcoins which I truly invest and experience of frustration because of a big loss. This is true a normal situation in trading altcoin that we often experience of trading gain profit and in lose. But thats not stopping me to trade with altcoins instead Ive continue learning in trading cryptocurrency.

Ohh you bought altcoins in wrong timing I bet you don't that bitcoin fork is coming so everyone want to hold bitcoin and altcoins are obviously dumping because of this. I wonder why you don't know about all this when I think you've been around this forum for quite sometime now.

He did able to say such thing because we do sure he lose up some serious cash on investing on altcoin and as you said he might not be informed on the upcoming fork on bitcoin which we do know that altcoins do possibly dip on these kind of events which would really be a bad timing for him to invest thats why he did able to say that altcoin sucks but not all the time because even on alts you would possible earn some serious cash if you did get in on the right time and sell it on profits.

Apparently you had to invest in the wrong time, because it may not be as magical as it might seem, but everything on the market has been preserved in the "norm."

He's just another clueless person who bought into hypes without knowing what he's doing. And now he's emotional and upset that he made a loss and doesn't want to admit his own mistakes and shortcomings. Hopefully people will learn a valuable lesson from seeing him post like this. Because anyone who is willing to learn will be able to make a fortune sometime in their life.

You need to learn and educate about the market. Nobody gives you free money. At least you can ask for help.

And with altcoin it can really possibly to make you rich if you did able to buy a coin which do have potential and i agree on what you said that op is an another guy which did make a bad decision on buying an altcoin and he did suffer such loss and now hes blaming and murmuring that he regret that he did bough altcoin. Its actually his fault since he bought without knowing such thing if the coin would able to pump up or not which would really cause on losing up money.

I'm still new to the crypto world, but learning every day.  I can't tell if I am in before the big wave, or, I'm late and already missed the boat.

Cryptos in general are still in their infancy. But with altcoins nobody really knows. It's very difficult to identify projects that will succeed in the long run. And gambling on short term games is very risky and most people get burnt doing that.
If something spiked recently, don't buy it unless you really know what you're doing.

And in general, don't buy or invest any money into something that you don't fully understand yourself.

Well I have the best one.  I bought into Artemine thru MNE.  Now there was a wise move.

And to boot it was a Genisis address.

Never invest what you can't afford to lose.

It will really just depend on what coin we risk, some alts were worth risking for, it's just too hard now since many coins were considered shitcoins after awhile.

I must say and believe that trading altcoins is good if you did a nice timing in buying and selling and do a good choice of coins,  if not, trading altcoin really suck!
