So, is there an easy way to aquier the BTG now that there is an "official" wallet?

I had BTC in my electrum wallet.
Any hints?
And Its a good thing to send my BTC to a new addy, just in case right? then that key wont be exposed and my BTC should be concidered safe?

If you used the Electrum wallet to claim Bitcoin Cash after it's fork then use the same method to claim Bitcoin Gold. I have not tried this so I'm only going by what others have said has worked.

Some links below to how to do the Bitcoin Cash claim from Electrum:
https://electrum.org/bcc.txt
https://electrum.org/bcc2.txt
http://www.techradar.com/how-to/how-to-claim-bitcoin-cash-bcc-using-the-electron-cash-wallet <--- Not too sure about this one ! Use with care.

Do we have a miner for the Bitcoin Gold?

Use ZCash miner software.

Suggest to use Claymore Zcash Miner for AMD cards.
For NVidia I currently use EWBF Miner Version 0.3.4b.

Others may have better suggestions.

There is a Claymore Bitcoin Gold specific miner, at least that what is says it is (I don't see any difference between this one and the Claymore ZCash miner, other than the default config and epool files list BTG pools). I've tried it and it works fine.
https://github.com/poolgold/ClaymoreBTGMiner/releases

Another ZCash miner:

For anyone stuck syncing their wallet. Create a runme.bat file in the bitcoin gold folder using the following, then save as a .bat file and run

bitcoin-qt.exe -server
addnode=109.192.23.101
...snip...
addnode=143.207.67.209

I just put all of this in the configuration file except for the "bitcoin-qt.exe -server" part, restart the qt and it started syncing.

This worked for me too.

This did not work for me. I've tried the suggested method(s), on a Windows 7 x64 and a Windows 10 x64 PC and it still won't work.
During installation I selected different folder for the chain folder as the default location did not have enough space - could this be the problem ?

+1 my client is stuck "Connecting to peers...", I've tried copying over blocks from before the fork but I couldn't get that to work. To those that have modified the "configuration file" which file are you talking about exactly and what did you do?

Full chain

Bad news :/ How can you sync faster? Is there a way to download the blockchain until the hard fork?

You can use the -bootstrap option, and use the 'connect=' option pointing to your regular bitcoin client.

Any help on that? It loke lite it take weeks to sync to wallet! Sad

If the official pool blockchain is the wrong one, what will happen with those 100000 premine coins?

Twitter @bitcoingold
Attention all community members we have recently had inquires about unpaid balances with our official pool http://Pool.gold  balances are paid out on each 100 block cycle, all transactions are on record and the payout will happen when the 100th  block for the pool is found.

Miners if you haven't been paid by a pool by now question the pool owners. for me pools that are paying are supr,  poolgold and the new one above any other pools that have paid you then note here. By now we should of all been paid by all the pools listed in the OP.
