That would be a great news for all the bitcoin users and everyone who shops at amazon since we all know that its a known online shop. It will then be easier for us to buy what we want there and no need to exchange it to paper money when transaction is on progress. Just so cool!

It isn't far from reality, is it? Some online booking sites like agoda and booking.com accept bitcoin as payment too.

It was already posted and discussed here several times. It would be great if Amazon started accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment. I would use it from time to time even though I want to save up my bitcoins for the future. Weren't they supposed to announce it by the end of this month? Unfortunately, it looks like it was only a rumor.
yes it was great when amazon accept bitcoin to invest more of money

This was spreading like Rumors from past month and still Amazon didn't posted anything on their website. I don't think Amazon will accept bitcoin as a lot of buyers and sellers get frustration due Bitcoin  fluctuated rates.

The rumour was that Amazon will announce that they will accept Bitcoin at their next quarterly earnings report conference call.

This conference call is happening very soon

We'll soon see them announce and watch Bitcoin spike.

Or, they won't announce and we'll realize that someone spread the rumours to pump and dump.

Old news. As far as I know Amazon didn't announce that they are going to accept Bitcoin payments. What a pity, I would use their service more often than I do today. It looks like we missed another change to get a pump on Bitcoin price. I think it is a matter of time before other companies will introduce Bitcoin payments, Valve has already done it.

This is a good news. If amazon accepts bitcoin then we will be seeing a major boost in the price. As more transaction happens there will be more activity with bitcoin and that will just make the price hike. This also means bigger profit for amazon but i am just wandering about the price of the items in amazon, if it is going to be a steady price at say $3 equivalent at bitcoin but when the price of bitcoin rise will the same amount apply to that item? also if the price drops then we can say that the item's price dropped along with the bitcoin and on the eyes of a business owner then this will be a major loss.

No , they don't.

Oh, really?
I never thought that this might be one of the one billion articles about Amazon, McDonalds and the FBI accepting bitcoins.
/sarcasm off

It was one rumor, a single person with no connection to Amazon, with no links to the company who had posted bits of info never confirmed by a single person.
We're talking about Amazon here , a company that has 3 times more orders per second that the chain can sustain, imagine the magnitude of the project and the number of people involved in it.
Yet not a single other person said anything.

This is a good news.
No this is not good news, those are not news at all, those are just rumors.

Only good things could of Amazon accepting Bitcoin both for it's businesses as well as for the users of Bitcoin. But there hasn't been any official word that this is true. Let's hope though because I think this is what we need to increase the exposure of Bitcoin and stop people claiming it to be "play" money.

Oh I hope so. This could be a big change and many people will be buying bitcoin just so they could transact as far as they can.
Adding us to that trade, people who have bitcoins already that wants to make a use of their bitcoins is a huge turn.
Maybe we could somehow profit from it too.

Great news! Once amazon stars accepting BTC as payment, more people would actually use BTC and not just trade it in for dollars.

Yeah, I would love it if BTC was easily spendable and didn't require me to jump through so many hoops just to buy something. Hopefully we'll be able to buy stocks and real estate with crypto too soon.

At the moment Bitcoin is considered an investment by many people and only that. But in reality it's a full fledged currency which only needs to start getting accepted by some of the bigger companies to really be utilized. Only then will we see an increase in people using Bitcoin for what it is and not converting to fiat as soon as they have made their bucks.

long way to go for those type of changes. Currently every country is trying to create their own crptocurrency with regulations. If that happens, all corporations will go behind it. In my opinion other than bitcoin nothing will survive for long.

Nah there'll definitely be more coins than just Bitcoin in the long run. Even if most alts will inevitably end up dying.

Great news. The main thing is that this idea would not be a novelty, but it was realized. I'm waiting for a big bitcoin capitalization next year. For Amazon, this is a big step in the direction of the trend.
