That'd be amazing if that happens. It's always a pain when you forget your debit/ credit card has expired and you keep on getting payment rejections.

Amazon is getting ready to take bitcoin
The fact that one of the most popular in the world auctions in October 2017 will take the BTC as a means of payment, said James Altucer. Information about such a statement by a famous American investor was also spread through the distribution of a trading house, so the company does not have a way back.

This would be one of the best news.I think it would be a great marketing move for amazon. They generate a lot of revenue if they would accept cryptocurrencies. Also this situation it becomes a milestone for online shopping.

LTC-BTC combination makes the most sense.

Both easily obtainable, exchangeable with rocket swaps, lightcoin with low and lowering transaction fees, lightcoin with super fast transactions, the lightening network and litepay; allowing both makes sense.

I don't think Amazon will ever accept Bitcoin when they can come up with their own token which they will control unlike Bitcoin where they don't have any control, as they have the required development team and the resources it takes to create their own coin or token. Also Bitcoin isn't yet ready to handle such a large number of transactions.

If Amazon would accept Bitcoin then it must be a great opportunity for this system. whatever the case, Bitcoin will dominate in the monetary market.

We know that Amazon is one of the biggest online shops. If this rumor becomes a reality, then it would be very great. If this will happen, many online shoppers who are in bitcoin would be very happy.

Until now it's just a rumor and there has been no official statement from Amazon about that.
But I think even though Amazon accepts bitcoin as one of their payment systems, it wouldn't make bitcoin into mainstream quickly.
As we know some big companies have received bitcoin, but until now there are still many people who don't know bitcoin, am I right?

Actually just imagine if Amazon starts accepting such a profitable currency like cryptos, you're right, it won't blow up, but think of the doors it will open! So many people will realize the possibilities, a money that can value more and more by the day and be effectively used to buy goods without much burocracy, services like Amazon accepting bitcoin for me it's the greatest obstacle our beloved market needs to overcome.

This news is spreading and as I can see many companies and project have partnership with AMAZON to be an asset for their project. With the help of blockchain this would be a easy shopping in that online store. And now in my country LAZADA would take a part into this blockchain payment also. I think this would be great for our country to take a step in the crypto-world.

Sooner or later, everyone will start to take bitcoin, Amazon is the giant and authority for many companies, so that the adoption of such a decision promises a large infusion of bitcoin, which will accordingly affect its value)

It’s a matter of trime until a big fish bites, once this happens then we shall see mainstream adoption.
