Seems to me the biggest hurdle to amazon coming on board is the 10-day time lag in the block chain waiting for the transaction to clear.  I don't think Amazon would be willing to float millions for 10 days at a time...  (Incidentally, I am an Amazon bookseller).

This seems to be important news, and no official regulation comes out of Amazon stating that they have started receiving bitcoins for all services. Only during the price increase, the same statement is shared and over $ 5000 happens the same.

still rumors, no news since the start of this topic.
This will be definitely big but before doing such a big move and create an example, they have to think 100x times because, as soon as amazon accept BTC much more will follow and the snowball can start!

Rumors are rumors. Bitcoin is not the best coin to use when you want to use it in daily activities. Amazon can lose a lot of money due depreciation. Thether would be a better option, it's always 1!

Very great idea to create or to have an bitcoin payment because it lessen the hussle and fee in converting bitcoin to regular currency. Amazon will have more transaction because they do this payment methods.

I thing it is not adventegous just for Amazon. This will provide a "win-win" situation both for Amazon and Crypto currencies market. And also Amazon will gain strength against its competitors.

Amazon can't lose any money to depreciation and Tether is completely worthless as a middle man as it doesn't even have enough volume.

You don't seem to understand how Bitcoin payment gateways work by the way, so I recommend reading up on them and why they propose zero risk to retailers.

It would be a good idea to make bitcoin as payment method. Since I do not have some paypal or mastercard and bitcoin wallet is all I had. There are things I want to buy in amazon but I do not have a way to make payments through it. It would be better if bitcoin is added to the payment method in amazon.

Even if Amazon supports bitcoin, but for now, bitcoin transfer fees are too high, and the price is not stable, slow, is the big problem.

Depending on the size of your order, Bitcoin would be cheaper than traditional payment methods even now.

This would be one the key opportunities for bitcoin as it could drastically open up some of the large firms out there would support and accept bitcoin as mode of their payment this could support the stand of bitcoin to be one of the future currency in the world today.

Amazon registered 3 domain addresses related to cryptocurrencies.  I don't think as of right now they are accepting bitcoins as payment.  I think they are going to create a currency that is similar to bitcoin to use at their online site.  It would be beneficial for amazon to accept bitcoins as payment as they would generate more revenue to their site and bank on bitcoins as they rise in price.

I doubt it would bring them more customers, but some people might end up spending more money at Amazon due to ease of access.
