Happy to see FLO under 600 again, it's time to buy more. around 500 and 600, just hoping it won't go lower.

Thank you for visiting the Library of Congress Web site and for using the Ask A Librarian service. The vast majority of the holdings of the Library of Congress are available only in their analog formats; and the most of that (and some of the digital resources) are indeed copyright protected. Much of the digital (and converted-to-digital) materials presented on the Library's Web site, however, are in the public domain, either because their copyrights have expired, their rights were given to the public domain by their rights-holders, or they were "born" in the public domain, as is the case for work created by the U.S. federal government. Rights status is one of the considerations when the Library's staff selects materials to be placed on its Web site. In some cases, the Library makes copyright-protected images available on the Web in small (thumbnail) GIF image file formats for reference. Where there is no copyright, there may still be other applicable rights, for example privacy rights. This guide, written about prints and photographs collections at the Library, actually applies more widely. Perhaps you will find it helpful: http://www.loc.gov/rr/print/195_copr.html . This page has links to rights statements for many of the Library's prints and photographs collections: http://www.loc.gov/rr/print/res/rights.html . The metadata created by the Library of Congress about its collections is not copyright-protected; this applies to both materials available online and to information about the analog collections presented in the Library's online catalogs http://catalog.loc.gov/ . At present, the Library has more than 50 million files presented on its Web site, representing a few hundred thousand items held by the Library. These items include books and other printed materials, manuscripts, maps, music scores, sheet music, photographs, prints, audio files, some video materials, and three dimensional objects. Some of these materials are also presented on YouTube www.youtube.com/user/LibraryOfCongress, iTunesU, and Flikr https://www.flickr.com/people/library_of_congress/?ytcheck=1 . In addition, about 150,000 of the Library's books are presented in the online book collections of the Internet Archive Texts https://archive.org/details/library_of_congress , HathiTrust http://www.hathitrust.org/ , and Google Books http://books.google.com/ . Parts of the Library's Web site are presented by the Internet Archive's Way Back Machine https://archive.org/web/ . Anyone is free to re-purpose public domain materials. Credit to the Library of Congress, or other source archive is appreciated. I have forwarded your request and your contact information to the Library's Web Development team; if there is interested, someone there will be in touch with you directly. Yours truly, Reference Specialist Digital Reference Section The Library of Congress bb Perhaps we could invite some of the worlds major Library web development teams from around the world for the beta? Thoughts on this?

Storj lead dev here. I'll address this directly. So we are using Florincoin in Metadisk. Before you go all pump and dump, note that this only temporary and we plan on using Factom when they are ready.
Do they still use Florincoin?

The real money is in aphrodisiacs. Boner pills. A pound of albino meat sells for upwards of $10 in Lagos. Rhinoceros horn more than $100 an ounce. The cops will not bother you selling that stuff too, as long as you respect the DMCA on your site. lol. No, the BIG money... Even more than human organs or sex aids or cheap cam sluts addicted to dildos... Is providing endangered species for rich, discriminating food connoisseurs... That are flame broiled at the table by expert chefs and enjoyed in black tie with a fine wine... There is even a movie about this starring Brando (The Freshman, 1990)... though can't find it in Alexandria listings. There are only 300 of these little guys left because they taste so good Though seriously, folks, the alpha works more or less... But this project needs a lot more focus on existing popular niches... You can't just say "We will store all the media in the universe, yo"... The crypto world is littered with generalized platforms that failed to target or tap into a real life market.

So FLO's difficulty just went sky high. Was this purposely done by someone? Or did someone press the wrong button? LOL
Not worth mining right now. Would be a waste of hash at this difficulty and price.

This one was because a few dicers pointed at Localminers. Like 1GH/s... nothing serious. So FLO's difficulty just went sky high. Was this purposely done by someone? Or did someone press the wrong button? LOL

is this the reason why the price is dropping? Lol ya no fucking clue one this one. They are backing off it slowly right now, so it doesn't appear they were trying to do it to jam the network up. Plus FLO gets a new difficulty every block... this makes it a bitch to manipulate. When I woke up it was like 30GH/s.

Difficult to manipulate -- unless you set the difficulty so high that it takes forever to reach the next block.
This would make it easy to manipulate the price of the coin for a certain period of time. Perhaps make the price drop so one can buy at a good low.

Some miners are in the slack channel and it seems like they're probably allocating more as Alexandria progresses and more artists show interest.

so I tried the alpha version of Alexandria and everything seems to work fine except when I want to see a video, then it shows "Plug-in required". Which plugin is required to view videos on Alexandria?

We're using VLC but the setup process, for now, depends on your OS. If you're on Windows, just install VLC from the VLC homepage. As we move towards a beta release this will be pre-packaged within the app. For tech support hop on the Alexandria slack #tech-support channel. Appears Florincoin.info is stuck again.
