This is actually a very good coin, Alot of people don't know about it. But its a very stable Scrypt coin. I think there is alot of room for it to go alot higher in the future. Alot of alt coins are getting settled in now and I feel this is starting to find its ground as well. Does anyone have any technical analysis for this coin in the short term?? Will be very helpful. Thank you

You'd do yourself a favor if you would hold them for long term.

So where do you see the coin in the long term and what kind of information are you deriving your conclusions from? Would be interested in knowing that, thanks.

Can I safely use the following Github account to start a wallet on a Linux machine? Or are there better ways?

Well, I just really like the idea behind Alexandria. I don't have specific targets, but when I do believe in a project (i.e. it's promising imo), I prefer to stay in it for long-term, rather than short/mid-term. So basically I'll see where it takes me the next year.

Don't have time right now to give you a synopsis but I'd click on blocktechceo and metacoin's names on this forum and browse their posting history, that should give ya a pretty clear idea without having to page through the entire thread.

You'll want to use the official Florincoin sources, that particular Alexandria document hasn't been updated in almost 2 years.

hey I am sort of newbie.

I bought Flo coin on Bitrex and sent it to my flocoin core wallet but did not receive it.

On my Flo Wallet I went to File then Receiving Address > Then Created a New Adddress > I made Withdrawl on Bitrex to that receiving address and it showed it got sent in few seconds on Bitrex.

But When I checked my Flo Wallet still says 0.00

Did I do something wrong ?

Did Bittrex process the withdrawal yet? How long have you waited? Is the FLO visible on the blockchain explorer? Is your wallet fully synced?

Yes its Synched I believe.

How do I check blockchain explorer.

It has only been 10 minutes.

But did I do the right thing. I went to File on my Flo Wallet and Clicked on Receiving Address then created a "new address" gave it a label

and then I used that on Bittrex to send.

Is there a way I can check where they are ?

Can you give me step by step instructions is it possible ?

Copy your receiving address from the wallet. Go to the "block explorer" for FLO at https://florincoin.info/ --- paste the address, does it show the transaction as being received to your address? If so, the coins are there, guaranteed.

Possible snags if you still don't see coins in the wallet:

- Your wallet may not be fully sync'd. Look in the bottom right corner for a little icon and mouse over it, does it say it is behind or caught up? If your wallet is still syncing you will need to wait for it to catch up to see the coins, but rest assured they are safe at the address if it shows on the explorer, and they will show up when the wallet fully syncs. Also, FYI, if it says "1 year behind" or something like that, it won't take a year to sync so don't freak out! That means it has only downloaded FLO's blockchain history up until some date a year ago, and that "behind" number will keep getting smaller as the wallet downloads the blockchain history for FLO and catches up. If you weren't aware, these wallets actually download the entire history of every transaction that has ever happened - you will have a full copy of FLO's entire blockchain on your computer when the sync is finished. This is part of how blockchains work in general btw, this is part of the secret sauce and why it is called "decentralized" - all the nodes have copies of the full history, so the network can easily prevent people from cheating/compromising the integrity of transactions. Smiley  You can hack a company's database because it only exists in one or a couple places - blockchains are essentially immutable/unhackable databases precisely because everybody gets a copy.

or

- You potentially goofed up the address. Double check and make sure the address you sent to from BitTrex is exactly the same as your wallet's -- copy/paste from both the wallet and Trex into the block explorer, linked above, and see if they both pull up the same info. To prevent this human fuckup from really screwing me over I personally, when using a new address or a new wallet, I always do test transactions. So if I wanted to send 10,000 FLO from Trex to a new wallet, I'd send 10 or 100 first - whatever small amount Trex will let me do (they have minimums). I make sure that 100 FLO gets to the wallet, make sure everything is good, then I send the other 9900. When your wallet is fully sync'd and Trex processes a withdrawal for you, you will actually see transactions show up near-instantly as "unconfirmed transaction" in the wallet. As "unconfirmed" you will be able to see them but not spend/move them and they will become confirmed over time (this relates to how the blockchain nodes verify transactions - the "consensus protocol" if you want to get technical - a conversation for another day).

The new DeltaGravityWave difficulty equation will greatly improve the block generation time. This will clear up a lot of confusion with regard to depositing to and withdrawing from exchanges.

In addition, please note that the Bittrex status page shows the condition of each blockchain and the time since last block on this page: https://bittrex.com/status

The Bittrex status page is incredibly helpful for testing blockchain applications, too. (Although I encourage everyone to use testnet as much as possible).

As always, visit http://florincoin.info or one of the other block explorers for transaction info. We'll have mempool data on there soon too.

Interesting article about Alexandria, apologise me if the article was already mention, but I read all the thread 2 ago and didn't find here.
https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@m3ta/introducing-alexandria-and-the-open-index-protocol

As I know Alexandria just from 1 week ago I would like to ask if the new publisher and new backend were released or are expect to realease by the end of Q3, so this month.

"The idea is to get the new publisher and new backend done and ready to be released by the end of Q3. By then Alexandria should be in open beta mode ready for anyone to test and try out. It's been a long three years that we've managed to keep cool and not get pwned by the market. It is time to show the world what Alexandria is all about."

Thanks everyone who help this amazing project. Love it and bright future
